I'm not sure we will finish top 2 but I think we will definitely be top 3-4.

Big achievement to be in the top two at this point. Top stuff to have only conceded four goals after 10 games. You would think that we'll only get better.

You'd think it'd be a happy fan base after this start and after what's gone on in the past year or so but still lots moaning feeling entitled

Only the moaners aren't moaning about results, or our league position, they are moaning about the style of football being delivered. I could hardly keep my eyes open against PNE.

Yesterday was a great tonic, balls into the box, players getting into the box. Everyone accepts we are a work in progress, but the last few weeks hasn't been easy viewing.

I'm worried now, that our best football will be away from home, as the pressure of expectation on the Turf appears to stifle a still very young squad. Even more reason to start Flemming and Laurent.

The post was more about the 4 that would be in the play offs if us and Sunderland went up.

This is how I feel and after what we have witnessed as Burnley fans over the years I never thought we would ever
become an entitled fan base

I still think it’s a minority but certainly shout the loudest

I still feel strange hearing Wednesday fans regarding us as a big club lol

Manchester United won title after title by grinding out 3 points when they weren’t playing particularly well. Not that I’m suggesting we are gonna do the same, but I confidently predict we are going to get better. Conceding so few is encouraging, perhaps indicating that our weakened back four is pretty strong actually.
We look very 4-3-3 but I’d really like us to have a look at 4-4-2. I think we could smash that, but it would mean getting balls into the box from wide areas, and I’m not sure SP wants to do that.
Anyway, very happy so far. Really like the new head coach, and it looks like the players do too.

For a bit of realism guys, we’re second after 10 games without getting out of 3rd gear never mind 2nd gear….we have a full competitive Championship Xl injured and ready to come back sometime this season and some fans are still not happy….both Sunderland and Leeds have a good starting Xl but nowhere near the strength in depth we have….top 2 is easily achievable with this squad if only you doubters would get off the team and managers back and use some common sense and just let them play UTC

Playing 1 upfront at home stifles us at Turf Moor not the expectation from the fan's

The opposition and referee usually contribute to stifling us at home, it’s the championship, same happened under VK and Dyche.

Pretty much everyone who's watched us this season agrees that we're not yet "there" in terms of gelling and performances and that at times we're unconvincing and in particular SP needs to sort out our goal threat. However, having said that, we're second in league!!! I would say playing like we have been, a top two slot might be difficult, but play offs pretty much nailed on. After all we've seen first hand several times in the past 10 years what it takes to make an automatic spot and whatever people say about the standard in the league, over 46 games getting a top two finish takes something special. BUT, it's also generally agreed right now that with the squad we have we have much, much more to come and we're only just getting into our stride and yesterday was definitely a step in that direction. We'll see what the next 10 games brings and we'll know a lot more.

I don't know whether people are being obtuse or just failing to comprehend when they make comments about some fans being entitled.

I don't think anyone is wanting "more attractive" football. The fans that have issues with how we're playing are mostly frustrated we don't (or didn't, if indeed this weekend was a turning point) create any chances.

For all I care we could play route one, lump it and hope if it was creating chances. It was not about the football being "attractive", it was about looking like we can actually, consistently, score goals. In that respect this weekend was a significant step forwards, let's hope we build on that.

The irony is staggering, you moaned about Dyche and VK.

I’m not so sure about this ‘we’re playing in third gear’ narrative. I think this is just how we’re going to play. I mean, it’s clearly effective, but I don’t predict a significant uplift in terms of progressive play.

We will get stronger as the season progresses. Burnley to finish first, Leeds second.

When there time was up I did yes correct. Find me a quote of me moaning when we was top of the league with either manager.

Dyche had run his course with us, it'd gone stale.
VK was useless last season.
