Help - I’m trapped in Blackburn

I’m on the train to Preston. It got to Blackburn ok where people getting off were told to mind the gap, but in nearly half an hour we haven’t moved. The line to Preston is blocked for what we have been told could be some considerable time.

Someone needs to arrive. The train has now officially been terminated at Blackburn and I’m now making my way out.

Surely, if you were going to Preston, Fretters should have given you a lift to Preston?

Perhaps the Trauma of having to alight in the 3rd World of Blackburn proved too much, and CT was better off heading home for a brew and a lie down

Very much so and in any case too late for my meet up with old work colleagues in Preston. After the stresses of being trapped there I was just thankful to be home.

Surely he should have had the inoculations BEFORE alighting at Blackburn?
Pretty reckless and irresponsible imo particularly with the risk of missing tomorrows home game- or infecting others

I wore one on the walk from the train station to the college the morning after they got relegated in 99'. Simultaneously the most stupid and satisfying thing I've ever done. It was an eventful walk.

Does make me laugh when the fiddlers bang on about Burnley being this and that.
I've family on my partners side that live in bburn so I unfortunately have to go there fairly regularly. It is a complete and utter shi-te hole. Spice head central.
Far far worse than Burnley.

Maybe you’re a candidate for counseling CT?
When my office was based in Blackburn, I as having a check up at the doctors ( Dr McDevitt) and he asked where I was working. On hearing my reply, and with a straight face, he said he could refer me for counseling if I wanted.

I've only stopped in the town once, which was enough, but ended up spending part of the day in the library, as that seemed the most exciting way to pass the time.

Surely Fretters should get an award at the end of year awards event. For services to BFC supporters above and beyond the call of duty.
CT probably had to have several showers when he got home.!!

Both towns are shi-te holes
Burnley's only saving grace is that it's a smaller shi-te hole

I disagree and I know both towns very well.
Cliviger, Worsthorne, Towneley, Harle Skye, Haggate, Lane Bottoms, Ightenhill Park Lane, Rosehill, Lowerouse, Pike Hill, Gawthorpe etc I could go on but I'm sure you get the idea.

Couldn't agree more. I'm less than 2 miles from the town centre here but it's almost rural.

Pleasington, mellor, langho, belthorn, mellor brook, fenniscowles, cherry tree, lammack, Wilpshire, I could go on but that's not the point, name the shi-hole parts and both will have similar number, but Burnley's will be smaller, not as big as shadsworth or higher croft.
There was a whole thread recently saying how bad Burnley town centre was at night, Blackburn's the same, though I don't think many people venture out to it

Mellor Langho, parts of Wilpshire and Mellor Brook are in the Ribble valley and bordering South Ribble Belthorn is largely in Hyndburn, Feniscowles and Lammack are becoming more run down, Pleasingon is nice I'll give you that.

Two strangely, quite close together too.
I've lived here for six years now and can see Ewood Park from my garden. I didn't realise this when I bought the house in the July, it was only when the leaves on the trees behind us disappeared a few months later and revealed the true horror of my new reality.
