Connor Roberts
Did he flip the bird at the fans when they showed discontent at him turning down a forward pass?
He seemed to also make a gesture after being awarded man of the match.

Yes I thought he did flip it. 91st minute if anyone has full match recording.
Not sure about MOTM one, he did gesticulate but not sure if it was at the ref

Re: Connor Roberts
Yeah he did when he passed backwards near the end.
Re: Connor Roberts
He was frustrated towards the end. He made a few runs through their defence wanting the ball but never got it. If he did make a gesture it was probably out of frustration.

When he had no other option.
Re: Connor Roberts
Respect if he did
Re: Connor Roberts
He's always had quite a strange relationship with the fans and club in general
Re: Connor Roberts
He's a bit of a hothead, and don't forget that tache.

Re: Connor Roberts
Bit of balance. When the ref wandered over to line up the players at the start opposite the Bob Lord, Connor recognised the mascots' parents had missed the photo opportunity. He wandered across and stood with his mascot and had his photo taken.

Re: Connor Roberts
He played well today.
And we already know he's fizzy.
I quite like his passion.

Re: Connor Roberts
Explain to me,apart from when he's actually on the ball, how he can't not watch a game he's playing in ?!?!
Re: Connor Roberts
He was excellent first half.
Re: Connor Roberts
Id like to think he was more interested in playing in it than watching. Good lad is Connor.100percentclaret wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:49 pmExplain to me,apart from when he's actually on the ball, how he can't not watch a game he's playing in ?!?!

Re: Connor Roberts
He’s a bit loose, and I like that. Plays hard, with attitude and I like that as well.
Didn’t think we’d see him again after his loan spell (and mismanagement) last year. Fair play to him getting stuck in.
Best right back at the club… and by some considerable margin.

Re: Connor Roberts
I thought Steve Cook was the best player on the pitch, tbf. Roberts played well though

There's more to being a footballer than kicking a bag of wind.

Re: Connor Roberts
Roberts had a great game today and the only reason we didn't score today was because of Steve Cook and his centre half pairing. They had a fantastic game.mickleoverclaret wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 9:21 pmI thought Steve Cook was the best player on the pitch, tbf. Roberts played well though

Re: Connor Roberts
To be fair, Cook was helped by the fact that we didn't have much physical presence in the box but he was very good.ArmchairDetective wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 10:15 pmRoberts had a great game today and the only reason we didn't score today was because of Steve Cook and his centre half pairing. Re: Connor Roberts
His best game for us, superb and nearly scored. How some people can criticise him today is beyond me.

That's a great pic Boss, I really like him - he's a hundred per cent player with a touch of the maverick about him.

He's our best at winning free kicks. He has that PL gained nous and knows exactly when to fall over.

Re: Connor Roberts
Thought he was very good first half, but in the last quarter of the game he was leaving the Bristol City wide man unmarked, and hesitated several times in taking a pass
