Villa have conceded their first goal in the Champions League after a farcical handball by Mings to concede a penalty

And lost their first match. Villa although having spent a lot have a genuine team shaped by Emery.

Whilst we have to concentrate on our performances and results, it would be good to see North End get a result tonight (and Millwall).

I would say that I have never seen anything like it but we have. Arsenal did exactly the same last season against Bayern and the referee ignored it and waved play on.

Is that based on how they are playing tonight? I’ve only just turned it on, so genuine question…..

I’m assuming that it’s not based on their display on Sunday and our no show. Deserves winners, but certainly didn’t look like a top six side to me.

Spotted Sunderlands team bus arriving at Crow Wood last night around 6ish, was meaning to check who they were playing

Jesus, what is that Stoke kit? Looks like they’ve had their skin peeled off

If they go on to win tonight I might just have to buy one though

I had to pop down to the Lounge around 12 and could see a coach parked up at the hotel.
Didn’t even consider it would have been Sunderlands

I'm going off Sunday and the fact they are beating Leeds who are a good team, yes I think they will be in the top 6 at the seasons end.

I really can’t see them achieving that, from what I’ve seen of them.

Time will tell.

I thought that was an excellent performance by Millwall, fully deserved the win. Reminds me of the Burnley of old, they never stopped running and fighting even in the 90th minute.

Millwall the form team. Like is Leeds had all the possession but couldn’t create a clear cut chance

Sunderland failed to score for the second game running. Both games against teams in the bottom 5.
Just for those who keep a record of teams not scoring

Yes we have but the despair by too many recently has been over the top. Leeds and Sunderland hardly created anything of note tonight and Sheff Utd were gifted a win last night.
Yet some are talking about these teams like it's a gimme two of them will be automatically promoted.
More balanced comments are badly needed on this forum

How many points do you get for shots? Or xG? Points are the prize and that's what matters, without playing that well after week 2 we are still handily placed in 4th with an awful lot of season still to go.

A much bigger thing is, when comparing us against them, is we have four more points having played a game less. Also, just looking at the form table of the last six games, they have four points to our nine; they have scored two goals to our four; and they have conceded seven goals to our two.

How many goals do you score without having a shot? And how many games do you win without scoring goals?

I tend to be optimistic, however we are scraping the excuse barrel if we are finding comfort that some in the top 6 are as shite as us.

I have to be honest after our pathetic showing on Sunday I thought Leeds with their fire power would blast Millwall away. Doing a good job is Harris.

They do defend so well-almost Dyche style. I dont recall a major save Jensen made against us or Leeds
