Yeah that does sound about the right level of bumbling for the FA. I am assuming that they gave these games to Carsley in advance after Southgate left and didn't back themselves to find a replacement in time.

Does anyone care about England games (outside major tournaments)? Players included, given the numbers who withdrew/Kane's comments this week.

Apparently, a group win gives you a WC play-off spot if you were to have a disastrous qualifying campaign.

FIFA are disappearing up their own @rses with this stuff, no wonder people are losing interest.

I wouldn't say my caring levels are at zero, although they are pretty low. Definitely not high enough to actually watch Carsleyball, but I will give it a watch once Tuchel is in charge
