Doubt we'll go that high.
It's all good though. Jay is about 5 years younger than Ronaldo so no need to panic for a while yet.

You can see Man Ure fans getting all excited at that price!

The going rate for a striker who’s only 26 who is scoring goals like he is.
If the likes of Grealish & Enzo Fernandez are worth 100million he certainly is.

He was widely complimented on here (not that he was ever a realistic target). There were just a small handful who said he wouldn't be good enough for us e.g. Newcastleclaret93.

Yeah, when he played at the Turf and didn't score, most fans still said he looked class to be fair. Shame for Coventry they never quite made it when they had him, Hamer and O'Hare.

Seem to recall it was the same with Jared Bowen as well

You'd have thought a club like Spurs would have come in for him at the time.
There must have been doubts otherwise a Premier league club would have signed him.

That's not overly nice of you.

I do think a lot of it comes down to opportunities though, too.
When we had Lukas Jutkiewicz scoring for fun in pre season and then was a sensational flop for us. Goes to Birmingham and essentially becomes a 1 in 5 striker.
Obviously not a direct comparison, but I think some players fit certain clubs/styles, regardless how good they are.
Torres at Chelsea, another quality player who didn't do much for them.

The Portuguese league is a low standard apart from the top four.

His scoring record is phenomenal though for sporting, I would say he’s gone up a few gears since Coventry and massively improved. He’s banging them in in the champions league also he should of had 4 against city but settled for a HT.Also he’s playing up front for Sweden with Isak who is a top striker here and in great form, he is outscoring him for fun. Surely up there with the best in Europe atm.
