Why would you have taken Lampard. What exactly has he achieved in the short time he’s Managed.

Another stupid topic
Lampard has achieved nothing in his managerial career
26 of 57 games at Derby just about tops it - and guiding chelsea to their lowest ever prem position
Some people honestly havent a clue

That Frank Lampard didn't get promoted out of the Championship, whereas Parker has, twice?

Yes.
You're missing the fact that he's almost permanently
unemployed lately.
There's probably a reason for that.

Lampard’s managerial credentials are good.
He took a young, unfancied Derby side within a whisker of the Premier League, playing some fantastic football.
He also took over a Chelsea team in disarray, under a transfer ban and full of youngsters and managed to qualify for the Champions League and reach an FA Cup final.
I too would’ve chosen him ahead of our manager, but hey ho.

Lampard had too many other roles at the time. Imagine him coming in late to us with all the outgoings and trying to recruit replacements. I suspect we would be in a real mess

Has achieved the square root of bugger all in his managerial career. I’m glad we went nowhere near him.

I think Robins is a better manager, Lampard's first job is to win the fans over ,not sure he will.

He managed to win 20 games out of 46 in the Championship while having Mason Mount, Harry Wilson & Tomori playing for him, he would also have taken Everton down had they not sacked him

At this rate, it won't be long before we have threads asking us if we'd have taken Rooney before SP.

50/50 decision atm.
Rooney has done better than I expected, (expected very little!) Parker has done exactly what we were warned he would do.

Derby finished 6th in Lampards season in charge. They also finished 6th under Gary Rowett the previous season

Are you again talking about Parker and Lampard? If so then “staggering” is somewhat OTT. I imagine both will have come across very well in an interview but when one of them presents a CV showing two promotions from our current division and the other shows the square root of bugger all then I’d have been ‘staggered” if Pace had have gone for the square root candidate. Actually has it ever been confirmed that Lampard even applied for the job or more importantly received an interview.

I don’t see it as being controversial at all. Appointing a manager who has got two clubs promoted from this division over someone who never has was clearly the right decision.

I think it’s fair to say Scott Parker’s Fulham and Bournemouth squads were better than Lampard’s Derby squad.
I appreciate they had a young Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori in their team but as a collective Parker had a far stronger group of players to choose from.
