Post by ElectroClaret » Thu Nov 21, 2024 11:22 am

Just a heads up for any Clarets travelling down to Bristol Saturday, weather forecast looking absolutely vile , snow, wind, heavy rain looks like the order of the day.

So take care all.

Can't be as bad as Southampton a few years ago when storm whatever it was called hit.

The walk back to the car was horrific, that's the worst weather I've experienced in this country for a long time.

Safe travels to all though, leave plenty of time, and take it nice and easy...

I am cutting across country from Salisbury for the match, then return to Stirling, thereafter. Fingers crossed

Storm Dennis - horrible walk back to the car for us and we weren’t parked far away.

This is definitely one to watch on tv which is a shame as Bristol is a nice place for a weekend trip.

Yes, I remember walking back to the train station getting wet through and blown about. Not only memorable for that but, the Vydra great goal + that was the last sporting event I saw before lockdown.

Sounds like it’s going to be a rough trip! I’ve had a few away games where the weather was brutal, and it’s always a good idea to over-prepare. I'd suggest bringing extra layers, waterproofs, and maybe even some food in case you end up stuck in bad conditions. It’s never fun dealing with heavy rain or snow, but at least you’ll be ready for whatever comes your way. Stay safe!

It’s the middle of autumn strong winds heavy rain which means leaves falling off the trees and onto the track that in turn means train cancellations i think expoultryboy with the weather forecast your hopes maybe dashed

As long as Bert (whether they/them identifies as a they or a them) is allowed to change in the young girls locker room there shouldn't be a massive leftist meltdown.

For those of you driving down from up north, the forecast is awful with wind, snow, sleet and/or heavy rain all the way down and wet all the way home afterwards too.

We are on the 06.18 to Wolverhampton and have about half hour wait for the connection to Bristol

On the way back think it is about 20 minute wait but at Birmingham this time, hopefully they all run smoothly but I don't believe in miracles

Forecast in south east Ireland Storm Bert coming in, gales and very heavy rain for 12 hours from 10pm tonight, so expect it will be hitting Bristol early tomorrow

According to the BBC forecast for Bristol tomorrow the heaviest of the rain is forecast to be from 16.00 hours onwards through the late afternoon/evening. Just as well we are scheduled for a 12.30 kick off if that is correct. Doesn’t make the travelling any easier though so good luck and stay safe to all of those making the trip.

Very windy here in Bristol 40mph gusts a day for keeping the ball on the deck. A bit of rain and currently a barmy 13 degrees leaving my big coat at home.
