Ticket Forwarding Issue

My son is trying to forward his ticket for the Coventry game but keeps getting an error message:
“ UNFORTUNATELY THE PERSON YOU ARE TRYING TO SEND THESE TICKETS TO IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO ACCEPT THEM. THIS COULD BE BECAUSE THEY HAVE REACHED THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT OR THEY DO NOT HAVE THE CORRECT PERMISSIONS.”

He’s in contact with the ticket office but no luck yet- has anyone else had any problems?

Everything looks fine on his account and the one he’s forwarding too.
All a bit odd.

Download the ticket and send it either as QR code or as an email

So has he actually managed to purchase/pay for the ticket? If so, has he received a confirmation email with a QR code at the bottom?.If so, how is he trying to forward the ticket and how does the TO know that he's trying to forward it? Sorry for all the questions but just trying to get to the bottom of the issue?

Not trying to hijack this thread but can I ask, if I’m successful in purchasing two away tickets via the bfc web site can you pick the tickets up at the TO in Burnley, I don’t have a smart phone or a printer. Thanks.

He’s a season ticket holder assigning a ticket for a game he can’t get too using the online ticket account . He’s done it before this season to the same person with no problems. This time he gets the error message and the person receiving the ticket gets no notification at all.
Ticket office cancelled the forwarding and tried to assign themselves but nothing received by recipient.
Will contact the ticket office again tomorrow .

In order to collect them you'd need under Fulfillment to click 'Collect' (although for Sheff Utd, post is the only option). A phone isn't required for away tickets this season.

All of our away games this season have been paper tickets and when we did have electronic tickets last season you did have the option of a paper ticket although had to collect at the ground on the day of the game.

If you order away tickets now, they are posted out. For some reason they've withdrawn the collect option if you buy online.

Interestingly, for Sheffield United, if you bought at the ticket office, you got your tickets immediately.

Not sure if the Collect option has been removed permanently now? (as it has been for Sheff Utd). We'll see what happens with the Biro tickets!

Noticed it also now seems to have a cap for how many times you can upgrade a ticket. Apparentlt i have 2 rimes left so must be 5 times per season.

Dont remember reading that in the conditions but i may have missed it

I'm also interested in this, my friend wouldn't have bought his if there was a cap on the number of upgrades when I use it. I can't recall seeing a cap although I didn't scrutinise the small print.

According to the TO today, there is no limit on how many times you can upgrade. I'd suggest giving them a call to sort out the issue.

I now just had a response from the SLO who informs me that there is a limit of 5, in order to combat someone buying a junior ticket and then frequently attempting to upgrade it to an adult. I'm going to reply to this and seek further information/clarification.

What's the cost of upgrading a childs'ticket to an adult nowadays? I once upgraded an u18 to an adult in the Bob Lord stand and it cost me about £40 from memory so surely it would be cheaper to buy an adults in the first place....

Thanks. I'd be interested to know where that was stated in the terms and conditions of sale of the u18 Season Tickets. I may well have got an adult 2nd ticket instead.

Response from the Club -
Regarding the ticket upgrades, it seems that this has been something that has been enforced sporadically in the past. It's not covered by our terms and conditions, so I have taken the decision to not enforce this for the rest of this season. Fans will therefore have no limit on the number of times they can upgrade their ticket from concession to adult for the rest of the 2024/25 season. Please note that this will likely be included in the 2025/26 season ticket terms and conditions.

Thanks for this Leisure. It would be helpful if the cap - with the number - was publicised as part of the material associated with new tickets when the time comes.
