Possibly the strangest game of the season in that we were clearly the better team over the first hour or so and the game should have been well and truly over, with us easing the ball around saving our energy for the next game.
But those are often the games where they level in the dying seconds and you go home with a point instead of all 3. So got to be happy!

Deffo a game of 2 halves there ...

Given the past few weeks and related performances
this goes down as a damn good win. We may nor be scoring many
but we're conceding even less and hopefully we can improve on getting
the goals.
Good to see Jay performing well.

Yep, thought we looked much better today with the ball, and dug in well to stop them creating anything of note!
Thought Jay did well, and Anthony was the best player on the pitch in my opinion, along with Esteve and Egan-Riley who look imperious at this level!
A few injured players also starting to become available again which should pay off in the long run. What’s not to like?

Some of our football in the first 15 mins of the second half was high quality. The only reason we won’t walk away with this league is that we have nobody who knows how to put the ball in the net. Otherwise we are the business at this level

Passing was a lot sharper and decisive and the truth is we should have been 2 or 3 up towards the end. Kept them in the game. Did we get away with a handball? I've been damning of the team over the last few weeks but today's performance was full of grit and determination and some good football played in atrocious conditions.

Nice to have Cullen back - he was superb today. For 60 mins we were excellent and I could actually see patterns of play and repetition, we should have been 3 up but got very lucky with the Brownhill handball - it's a clear pen. We gave the ball away far too cheaply but so did they so maybe the conditions played a part in it. Antony was good too. A very good win imho.

I thought we passed the ball forward with a lot more purpose in the first half. Long may it continue.

Only scoring 19 goals and having a +13 GD must be some sort of record?
or 6 goals conceded in 16 games?
The basis of a successful team is the defence and what a defence we have.

Very good three points in difficult conditions. Cullen was our best player today, with Jayrod, Esteve and Anthony (best game so far) all having good games. I am still surprised to see us so high in the table given our overall performances, but it shows the overall poor standard of the Championship this season. If we can get our injured players fit, improve our ball retention and strengthen the team in January we may have an outside chance of promotion.

Yes we were lucky with the penalty but makes up for the stupid disallowance of Anthony’s goal in the last game

Played some really nice football today. Excited to see what we will be after more time, which also coincides with Redmond, Foster, Ramsey, Flemming and Benson returning.

The better teams in this division won't lay down a die for us Bristol City are rubbish and for 25 mins made us hang on for grim death if we do get promoted it will be through the lottery of the play-offs not automatically

They do struggle at home but only Sheffield United have won here. Leeds could only draw. They've had some good away wins though.
To me the last twenty minutes or so seemed worse then they really were. They rarely cut through our defence.

Only Sheff Utd won there this season and that was in last minute.

Agree.
Their game vs SU I think a draw would have been a fair result. Leeds created about the same as we did. Add to the fact that they are 10th and so they aren't exactly a relegation-fodder type team that you'd expect teams to dominate for 90 minutes. We created enough to be out of sight by the hour mark so it was a very important win. Plenty of positives to take from it.

Hard to be negative today. First half we were brilliant and the football was a good watch especially in the conditions. Away from home you're always going to have to defend, and as usual we did that well. 6 goals conceded in 16 games is superb.
Great to see Koleosho having an impact again after a torrid run of games.

In my opinion Flemming is our best player and I regard it as a big blow that he couldn’t play today. His season has hardly got started and the last thing we need is another injury, no matter how small.

Yeah, the last 25 wasn’t great. Parker has said as much in his post match interview, and the need to get control back when momentum swings.
But how great is it to see a group of players fighting like lions for a clean sheet after the debacle of last season.
Some people have short memories.

Our best player ? He was fantastic at Sheff weds but very average since, according to those who saw him regularly for Millwall he’s not a number 9 so I’ll reserve judgement till he plays in his right position

Esteve has been our standout player and Flemming hasn't been close to him.

Again the short sightedness of some posters is highlighted. Give Flemming a chance to show what he can do and I’m confident eventually you will agree with me.

I wasn’t thinking of your post particularly. Flemming hasn’t had the best kind of starts but that is down to reasons that have nothing to do with his ability. Some people are judging him on what they’ve seen on the field so far and that is shortsighted.
My original post was about his current injury being a blow and in it I described him as our best player because that is what I believe.

we are doing fine, Scott Parker clearly knows his squad and system.
I think to be where we are in this division is praiseworthy, great win and 3 points today . It's a tough division and an away win there is no mean feat.
