I see Amdouni came off the bench and scored the winner for Benfica in their champions league game against Monaco. Benfica now looking well placed to progress to the next stage.

Been a while since a claret scored at this level (Champions League or European Cup); can anyone enlighten me?

Previous player who was actually playing for us at the time would have been in the 2nd leg v Hamburg back in 1961.

Don't know if Wout scored for the Turkish mob he was on loan to.

Monaco had a man sent off after c 57 mins at 1-1 but went 2-1 up only for Benfica to then get a couple of headed goals in the last 10 minutes- last one being the goal in question.

Lee Dixon, Kieran Trippier. Gary Cahill and Trevor Steven, were the names that sprung to mind, but not sure if they all scored.

As I understand the OP's question, it's about a Claret scoring not an ex-claret.

I'm not even sure if Amdouni is still registered with us or not, such has been the recent turnover of players.

Just googled, he is a Claret.

Tresor scored for Genk in Champions League Qualifiers last season against Servette.

More to the point are Benfica going to want to buy him in May ??, do they HAVE TO buy him in May. The last thing we want to do is to have to find another club in Summer who wants to loan him again

Dimi Papadopoulous played and scored in Europe I believe.

Peter Noble scored in both the 1969 and 1970 Anglo Italian Cup finals, netting two in the latter ...
