Blades v Sunderland
Draw best here, means they both miss out on two points.
Or would you rather one side won?

Re: Blades v Sunderland
I keep looking at this Sheff U side and thinking they might struggle when injuries kick in. Arblaster aside, they seem to have had very few.
Doesn’t look to be much depth on that bench.

Re: Blades v Sunderland
Sunderland win for me, I don't think they will stay in the promotion race so it would be best to deny Sheff Utd even one point.
Re: Blades v Sunderland
Penalty Sunderland. They're murdering Utd so far, deserved.

Re: Blades v Sunderland
With Leeds and Sheff Utd clearly looking like the best two teams in the league its gotta be anything but a Sheff Utd win tonight
Re: Blades v Sunderland
Superb save
Re: Blades v Sunderland
Sheff Utd not looking the best tonight though.
Re: Blades v Sunderland
Sheff Utd have quality midfielders and keep hoofing it.

I’d have said the same but I’m not so sure based on this performance.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 8:19 pmSunderland win for me, I don't think they will stay in the promotion race so it would be best to deny Sheff Utd even one point.

Re: Blades v Sunderland
How nice would it be if one of our youth team made it into our starting XI and looked even half as good as some of these Sunderland kids?
Re: Blades v Sunderland
Good reffing there.
Re: Blades v Sunderland
Pass and move at pace. That's what we should be doing with the players we have. Would open up these low block teams.

Very impressed with Tom Watson for Sunderland. I notice he is only 18 years old. Why aren't any of our players in the U21s ready for first team football.

Good news for us. Is that a 3 game suspension for a straight red card?

Re: Blades v Sunderland
Watson looks a great player. Only 18; he's going on to big and better things.
Sheff down to 10 now too!

Re: Blades v Sunderland
Sunderland haven't got the same quality of player (supposedly) as we have so it is harder to replace ours with a youngster, unless we are forced like with Mcneil.Conroysleftfoot wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 8:40 pmVery impressed with Tom Watson for Sunderland. Re: Blades v Sunderland
Clear agenda from the woke liberal elite refs to keep working class, right wing Sunlan fans under the boot of their tyrannical agenda instead favouring their stooges, the kale munching, matcha latte quaffing soy-boys from Shef...from Sheffield and uh prevent the working class from rising
Ok yeah just watched it back it's a clear red
And now Souttars off now as wellc
some game this Wilder must be raging, just pure distilled idiocy.

Re: Blades v Sunderland
Terrible reffing for me. Debatable cover, and the same applied at the other end, justice is 11 v 11 or 10 v 10. EDIT - now is
As for the sides, not impressed. Sunderland have a gap the length of Tower Bridge between their CBs, I’ve been calling it all game and lo and behold the red card came from that. Quick and dynamic but too young and raw.
Sheffield, only had two tough games so far against the best other four and lost them both (Boro and Leeds away). Are now entering a really tough run and I expect them to struggle. They have Sunderland twice before the FA Cup R3, West Brom twice, us, Leeds, and Millwall away.
Can’t discount either, but I feel it is us and Leeds top two at the end.

Brainless.
If I were Wilder I would be losing my head.
A good suspension for us though

Sunderland have played brilliantly.
Very good young side that have played United off the park.
Hopefully we can get some ideas as United can't cope.

Re: Blades v Sunderland
Tricky game for the Blades to be without two suspended defenders - West Brom away next.
Re: Blades v Sunderland
Sunderland got some really nice players. I’d be keen on Dan Neil and Trai Hume if we go up. Assuming Bellingham and Rigg will be wanted by bigger clubs. Wilson Isidor up top is lively too.

Got to say - I thought United would be the better side but Sunderland have been brilliant. I'm happy for this to stay as a draw.

Re: Blades v Sunderland
It was, Sunlan just had one S/O, which absolutely negated the tiny chance of any let off by the ref for blatent pull back.
You're right.
Wilder should give him both barrels.
Re: Blades v Sunderland
As for the Sunderland pen and Robinson yellow, i felt this deserved a red, he made no attempt to play the ball and he was last man.
Re: Blades v Sunderland
Isn't there still, or wasn't there a 'double jeopardy' type rule that if you'd given away a pen you couldn't then be sent off? Am I making that up?
