Given the choice of Swansea or Burnley, Burnley born mother so went our way.

Her mum I am sure was Linda who passed away some years ago. I worked briefly with Jemma’s granddad.

Yes Linda was Jemma’s mum and my auntie, are you referring to Fred, who was Linda’s dad and my grandad?

Linda was a good friend of a friend of mine, they worked together. I met her once but I knew Taffy really well. Yes it was Fred I worked with. It's a long time ago but I got a summer job after uni at NORWEB and he worked there. Really nice man too.

Delighted to see Jemma do so well. I got to know her after interviewing Leighton for my book about Bury's 84/85 season in which he is perhaps the most fondly-remembered squad member and she was never anything less than supportive of the project.
