Has anyone else just received an email advising that they have been successful in the ballot for the Fans Forum on Wednesday?

I just asked if we will be planning on getting a new striker in January.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 1:33 pmWhat is your pre submitted question if you don't mind me asking?
Weak question, I know, but I couldn't think of anything else to ask!

You can only ask a question of what you want to know the answer.Rosehill Claret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 1:36 pmI just asked if we will be planning on getting a new striker in January.

Not sure any tough questions would get answered, even if allowed to be asked. Be like a politician fob off.

I was also successful. Am I correct in recalling that it was a single ticket?

Hopefully somebody asks about the walk on prices. Or the clubs take on the amount of empty seats at some home games.

And the huge increases in concession season tickets over the next two years.
Non-transferable tickets, photo I’d required to gain admission, vetted questions. Not much point in it really other than they are ticking an EFL requirement box.

Not a lot that the Club can do about that though.

I don't know if the questions are vetted or not, but it's a forum where the questions start a debate and audience members can ask follow up questions, it's up to those attending to join in and direct the discussion in the way they want.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 2:43 pmAnd the huge increases in concession season tickets over the next two years.

I'm not sure it is. I don't think there will be an opportunity for follow ups on answers, Anything to be asked has to be in advance so there cannot be any direction of discussion.

I don't think its the intention for 200 people to just sit there and say nowt for 2 hoursClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 5:27 pmI'm not sure it is. It's pretty easy to steer a discussion the way you want, any discussion on finance for example, can lead to a question on ticket prices if that's the way people want it to go

Audience members could “go rogue” but it’s up to the panel if they wish to answer them.

Having carefully ensured they will choose what to answer, I'd be surprised if they allow open discussion from the audience. We will see when it goes out on YouTube.Row x wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 5:33 pmI don't think its the intention for 200 people to just sit there and say nowt for 2 hours

If all 200 people ask a question in 2 hours, each person will have 36 seconds to ask and receive their answer.Row x wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 5:33 pmI don't think its the intention for 200 people to just sit there and say nowt for 2 hours

I genuinely thought to ask Who put the wham in the wham a Lama ding dong ?was a pertinent question.

Yes I am going and been selected to put my question to the Chairman.
Re: Fan Forum Application: Successful Application - Wednesday 11th December 2024
I guess it's like Question Time on the BBC. Everyone submits a question; the club'll choose the ones that were most pertinent and easiest to answer and then an odd one that's difficult-ish, but at the end so time runs out.

Did your email specifically say your question is going to Pace?helmclaret wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 10:45 pmYes I am going and been selected to put my question to the Chairman.
Just curious, as mine said I am selected to attend but did not confirm if my question will be asked or not

Re: Fan Forum Application: Successful Application - Wednesday 11th December 2024
I was also selected but I hadn't realised it via junior members only. My daughter is now no longer a junior.
I've messages the club back and will see what they say.

I think we should wait until we hear what questions he takes before making any assumptions.
I think it will be hard to take presumably 50+ questions from fans and not answer any tough ones.
Also, Alan Pace hasn’t got to where he is in life without getting very direct questions and challenging questions very regularly. I’m pretty sure it’ll be water off a ducks back to him.

Possibly. Your original point was that they wouldn’t be asked the tough questions but I think it’s more likely that they will and they won’t get answered frankly. But I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve watched the YouTube. Pace seems quite straight talking to me, so let’s see.

Should be a bit more lively tonight after another drab performance against very poor opposition.
Re: Fan Forum Application: Successful Application - Wednesday 11th December 2024
I guess we'll see what happens.
If there isn't open and frank discussions then you have to ask, what's the point of the event?
