And I still have no idea what xG provides. How can you have an expected goals of 1.4 when you’ve already scored 4.

Derby were losing 2-0 at home to Plymouth a few weeks ago when they had an xG of 3.54 v Plymouth's 0.42.

All goes to show that xG is for mugs!
