Can't remember when I saw a better hit shot for one of our goals for a long time.
Maybe one of Benson's in the promotion season?
Brilliant anyway.

My all time favourite strike has to be Stephen Ward's vs Chelsea.
Flemming's is a fine strike too.

Robbie Blake with our first ever goal in the Premier league

It reminded me of a Ronaldo goal-swerve and dip, or Rooney. Both had great technique

Robbie Blake bagged a few against PNE.

Very reminiscent of Gudjonsson against PNE.
Nudged short, set himself, unleashed hell.
Gudjonsson's was better though because it looked like it was going over - thus lulling the PNE fans and Lonergan into a false sense of jeering security - before viciously dipping over the hapless clown of a goalkeeper.

Jay Rod scored a screamer against Chelsea a few seasons ago back to make it 4-2. Game was over so easily forgotten.

Fantastic shot and it will do his confidence no end of good.shows that you don't have to tippy tappy the ball in.

Wasn't at Anfield that night but Ian Brennan's strike was apparently something else.
What isn't easy these days is when the player wants to hit the ball straight. They move so much nowadays. But he fair clouted it.
Never tire of watching Jay's goal at OT. It was a different type of shot, with his left foot, from an angle. But from just outside the area I think.

Just watched it again (video now in black and white). Jay's goal was from inside the box. Whatever, De Gea's still looking out on the pitch for the ball.

I reckon Brownhill won't get enough credit for Flemming's goal. It's a brilliant hit and great quick thinking from him and Cullen who are over the ball but as they take the quick one Brownhill clocks what is going on and makes damn sure the only Norwich player who is in a position to get out and make a block is prevented from doing so. Smart, streetwise play.

Didn't Defour score a similar type goal where the opposition left a huge gap for him to set up a shot?

Parker has said today in two separate interviews what a great strike Flemming has. If thats the case he should take all the direct free kicks close to the opposition goal as we are generally dreadful at these.

Fair play to Flemming. I’ve not been his biggest fan but that was some strike.

Brownhill should get a lot of credit; it was him who told Flemming to have a pop.

Agree completely about Brownhill's role in today's goal. It's that kind of experience and know how that could give us an edge in the key games that are coming up

Great goal, important but not all that matters.
It’s how we kick on now, get the impression from the SP interview that a ‘clear the air’ has been had after the first half.
Has anybody realised we are on the same points at the 21 game point as VK. But gd 1+.
Yep a good amount of those goals came before squad trimming. Inevitable.
However, Parker has the nerves of steel required to pick the points up over a 46 game season without panicking . Read some rubbish on here….

Flemmings goal was a strike in open play. Cullen took the free kick as he and Flemming could see the Norwich players were congregated around the edge of their penalty area, 15 yards from Cullen and Flemming.
Cullen nudged it forward a few feet in open space, ,Flemming moved the ball a few feet further forward and hit it on the run, before any Norwich player could close him down.
I do agree that Flemming should try a few direct strikes whenever we next get a direct free kick within 25 yards of goal.

Whilst some could claim it came from a set piece (free kick), it also clearly showed the skill sets of Flemming when taking the ball forward from outside the pen area
Just like you would hope to see from a No 10 during a game
Why not try him there ?

In this league, yes. In the PL, it’s disallowed by VAR for the smart, streetwise play.
