Honest question…

Do we have the worst home atmosphere in England ?

It’s as bad as iv ever known it. If there’s a ground that’s worse please tell me because there can’t be one.

It always has been. I can count on one hand the number of times there’s been an electric atmosphere at the turf

It’s boring as f**k. Every home game is a snooze fest so there’s not going to be an atmosphere until the football is more engaging.

No surprise, really.

We’ve been served up absolute garbage for the majority of our home games this season.

It’s a good job we’re decent away.

There's only a good atmosphere on the Turf if the referee is having a shocker. Then everyone gets on the ref's back for a bit and makes a bit of noise. Other than that, it's really quiet and any songs which do happen are either generic, have the wrong lyrics, or are too fast.

Plus the first half of 2024 where we got beat from pillar to post every game, all in all it’s just not been enjoyable at all, regardless of results or league position.

If you think the Turf’s uniquely bad you need to go to more away games. Home support is sh*t in this country, away support is usually good. It’s a general truth not a Burnley problem.

The consistent numbers of people which follow their teams up and down the country is impressive but in my opinion in terms of volume, songs, spectacle and experience the UK lags behind the rest of Europe/the world.

"Football in a library"
"He looks good, he looks fine"

I got to admit I am starting to look at the near future and the way we play (more at home as some away performances and atmosphere have been great) but also if we do go up the VAR taking the game away from the fans. This coupled with struggling to get some night matches, I am seriously debating to give up my season ticket for a seat that I have had since the new stand was (James Hargreaves) built. I think the away days and odd walk on at home might be better for me

People are just bored of football. It's hard to be as up for it over and over again for ever. It's really up to the young ones who are newer to it to bring that atmosphere and fanaticism but not sure that's happening as much these days.

Pathetic songs, that are repetitive and boring.

Idiots who just come to the game to shout abuse.

Fans who just love to throw the team and individual players under the bus.

WE’RE SECOND!

We can blame performances all we want but the atmosphere is flat before the games even started, us fans need to take responsibility and create an atmosphere not just blame the players.
It's no coincidence the players perform better away from the Turf

ALK must look at this seriously now because the football is turning people off and away. That much is clear from the empty seats. It requires some investigation and response from Pace and co.

Don't be ridiculous. Have you never been to Old Trafford?
Frankly four 0-0' s against very mediocre opposition and playing poor attacking football is hardly going to get people on the edge of their seats. Oh and ps shout louder.

I thought our atmosphere etc at home was bad.. Westbrom, that’s embarrassing, winning and not a sniff of anything, all leaving early too.. what a weird bunch! #pnefc #wba

But then they'd have to take some blame for upping prices and recruiting poor players putting the 'head coach' in the position he's in

I was at Boro on Sunday and thought they made more noise than the Turf crowd has made for any of the games I've caught this season.

Had a chat with counterparts at Palace about what they do then created a singing section next to the away end in conjunction with a fan group I believe. They did a few things outside too to encourage those that are vocal to gather early etc. The atmosphere at the Emirates isn't like it was a few years ago, you have to at least commend them for trying to fix it.

Very quiet today and probably the quietest I can remember in the home section. Nothing to get you on the edge of your seat through.

I was at Boro too and I don't really agree, the lads at the back got involved a couple of times, but nothing much. There was that group of young lads at the front where I think the drummer was, but there was maybe 20-30 of them at most. It wasn't enough to create an atmosphere and that drum was just annoying as hell.

Watched almost half the games at the ground and the rest on the telly but have thought that on lots of occasions the crowd was flat. Many of those draws turn to wins if the crowd is right behind the team but it's not. A drum isn't the answer but we need something to change.

Doesn't work in our CFS! Very lame apart from a few. The whole purpose of creating the CFS section was to collect the singers in one place.

Its ALK who have chosen to charge upwards of 50 quid a ticket for second division football. Games like today the atmosphere is never going to be great, but the number of empty seats is on them.

Checked the walk-on price today and couldn't believe my eyes. It costs a family of four walking-on £200, for one game. Before any snacks or drinks. There should definitely be a financial incentive to season tickets but surely that walk-on price is far too high.

I actually disagree I thought Boro had one of the better home atmospheres I’ve seen this season.

The lads at the back were quite vocal and at times quite a few got going with that noisy bunch you mentioned.

Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t great but still better than most
