Hi Vegas
Just wanted to thank you for your contribution and commitment to posting these after every match. It is one of the first post match threads I look for. Thanks again mate

Virtually every other sentence
"We fell a little bit short"
"They came with a plan"
Its the same plan that virtually every team comes to the Turf with and six of them have ended in draws

Ended in draws where we have barely tested the away keeper. That’s the worrying thing that Parker simply hasn’t addressed at all.

He is always pretty honest on the assessment of the game, and in more diplomatic terms than most on this forum.
But then he has to work with the guys the following day, i do believe he knows what needs fixing - its whether he is able to or has the funds to which is the more interesting premise

4 games in 10 days with three of them away from home and those against promotion rivals is as he says a tough schedule for a young squad and he picked a team yesterday with the Rovers game very much in mind. As a result we didn’t have the shape or fluidity to threaten a Stoke side who were up for it and played pretty well. Playing Sarmiento, Koleosho and Anthony in the starting line-up is not going to work, because, as others have said, we need to get Brownhill up the field.

Bob on Culm. Add in that most of our offensive players had poor games individually and it’s not going to end well.
Parker isn’t going to say we were bobbins today and throw his players under the bus even though a few of them didn’t really turn up. Hopefully he will have learnt a lot today about their ability and temperament.
