They are quite solid at the back so we'll need to break them down, and we'll struggle I think. Koleosho won't be tearing anyone apart, sadly.

Hannibal is a big loss, the idiot. He'd have helped us keep the pressure on them.

Obviously hope we win, but have to say I'll be perfectly happy with a point this time.

The way we approach away games is much better - we will get at these rodent bastards and give it em

Something close to our best and we roll them over quite easily, I think. But quite a few unknowns and they'll fancy it. Would absolutely take a draw.

I'm lucky enough to be going but honestly, I'm looking forward to it but dreading at the same time.

If you look back at the relatively recent history, you have to admit we've had the rub of the green in a lot of the games. There was the offside goal for them at the Turf that wasn't, Bashleys hand ball when we won the title that wasn't given, even in the season when Arfield scared his screamer they were the better side in both games.

On the positive side though, they have a couple of key injuries, I think man for man we have better players, I just hope we're not out fought as the town, where I unfortunately have to live is absolutely well up for our visit I can assure you that and the atmosphere will be very hostile towards us.

Hopefully this leads to a couple of their players losing their heads and making mistakes...

Cantwell has the virus so might not be fit. I hope it is as bad as it was when I had it. He will have no hope of playing .

They are essentially a lower quality version of us, don’t score many, can keep a few clean sheets in a row. They do have the tendency to throw in a bad result though hence they aren’t troubling the top 2, let’s hope Saturday is one of those.

It’s a must not loose 100%, 1-0 either way for me. Would take a 0-0 now then we have played all the top teams away from home and can crack on with the rest of the season.

Now - it really is time for that lot !!!!!

If we play well we win, it is that simple.

Not one of their players gets in our starting 11 not sure many would make the bench either.

Leeds, Sheff Utd and Boro are way tougher away games than this and we were fine because we played well. Can they win of course they can but not if we play well. They will be noisy for the first 20 minutes it is their big day, I am convinced a large number of them would pass on promotion if they could beat us just keep the ball and play well.

Feels like the most appropriate thread to post this.

For some reason, even with a thread bare squad their fans think they have got this in the bag, quite why I have no idea. In footballing terms we are far far better than they are in every aspect.
They will talk about injuries and sickness.....

So can we, Benson, Beyer, Ramsey all world beaters at this level. Then Hannibal, will be missed, but probs for the best as he would have probably got sent in any event.
We also have Magic Mike, illusive as he is, he was the lead assist player in Europe when we signed him and Belgium full international. Those 5 alone are miles better than anything they have.

Absences won't dictate the outcome, we are missing far more quality than they are.

Rovers fans I know say they are going to "smash" us. We have conceded 9 goals all season, and they have limited strikers available, likely to start the hardly prolific (1 goal so far), red card waiting to happen, Gueye. Despite his Worldie against us, Wieman is not particularly well liked. So where are the goals to dish out the hammering coming from?

They have 2 points from the last 12, and whilst they think they won at Leeds (as they did at Burnley) they drew at both.
We beat Leeds away but let's not dwell on that.

We have been unbeaten in 3 months, conceding just 3 goals in that time.
Xmas - beat Watford (easily), beat Sheff Utd away (easily), laboured but should have beat both Boro away and Stoke at home, had it not been for fatigue and changes.

Tomorrow we go there full of confidence, with a certain talisman back amongst the group. Yes they will be loud, aggressive and up for it, but anything less than a draw would be a really poor result for us. It will be tight and the first goal is massive, if we score it we win.

Hopefully we can shut the clowns up again.

The simple thing is,its not about possession,playing them off the park etc......its all about, who takes their chances,in front of goal,simple as!

We may only get 3 good opportunities,but we have to make 1/2 count.We know our defence is rock solid and reliable,but again, it has the added pressure of being a derby and they will be thinking exactly the same.....Lets just hope we turn up and perform.....give them hell boys. Oh and lets just remind them about where we won the championship,the last time we were here....sing youre hearts out boys,all 4000 of you..UTC!
