How bad was the home end?
Barely heard a peep all day, what happened to the pack the stands, show your colours, make some noise for the boys crap.

I've just read on their forum about how 'quiet' the away end was all day 😂😂

It depends where you are i suppose. Watching on TV i didn't think the Burnley end was that loud till we scored.

I did see a fat, ugly bird in the home end belting out the ‘Yer mum’s yer dad’ chant.

She looked like she had lungs large enough to make a lot of noise, but was probably quiet after the 60 minute mark.

It didn't sound great from our end tbh but sometimes the mic placement can be a bit misleading.

It wasn't a great atmosphere from the away end, as that sort of reflected the bits and pieces type of game, but I have to say, considering it was their cup final, the noise from the black coat wearing scruffy "ultras" in the Riverside stand was embarrassingly pathetic. Couple of songs all day. The highlight of the whole day was after we scored the whole away end singing the 1987 song in full volume and they just stood there heads down...a memory that will last with me forever..

I thought the away end was pretty good

They only got going a couple of times. Really disappointing - 20000 should make more noise. Would have made the whole atmosphere better

We're they even Blackburn fans? They all had matching hats and were waving a Zwolle flag pre match who are Dutch

I like the Eustace post match interview after the game where he said "It was great to have 22 thousand Blackburn fans, if we can keep getting that amount it would help the lads". Sorry John, not gonna happen.

I wondered that too. It's unusual to see a set of home fans all dressed like that, surely they must have had some sort of buying history though to get so close to our fans in that section?

Yeah, I saw her and her dim-looking bloke. Remember thinking let's shove it up these
assholes. :D

There's an irony in so-called supporters criticising the fans that were there.

Maybe they couldn't get tickets...just a thought.

Best bit of day that for me also. With my old man next to me trying to put all the words together.

Yes, fair point.
But let's not fall out pal, just enjoy the day.

The pettiness on this board is ridiculous at times
I wasn't criticising anything, I just stated an opinion based on my viewing experience.

I saw her on the telly.

Given the opportunity, I would take a long run up and expedite a proper right footed hoof between her........

I thought it was decent enough , and a great day alround . The scrappy game didn’t really help get things going . Though the sheer lack of songs we sing these days makes things a bit hard work at times ,though the (pretty dire) “ 1987 song” was belted out nicely when we scored.

As for Rovers fans , they looked, dressed and sounded like they. were having a begrudging sing song at a car boot sale .

Probably a similar story behind them to the one with us and Helmond I imagine, probably make a couple of trips a season and being ultras will always want to sit close to away fans but obviously that would never be an issue at the empty Deadwood.
They were the ones who started the trouble with the police too because that's what they've come for and will be out of the country and unidentifiable before their flights home

Standing towards the front of the Burnley end I could hardly have a conversation with my son and daughter because the tannoy system in the Darwin End was on full volume

We thought it was a deliberate tactic to muffle any noise

The Kindergarten cocaine crew dressed in black were hilarious at the end, prancing up and down like the strictly come dancing judges entering stage right.

Said this straight after the game, biggest crowd at a derby game for ages but probs the worst atmosphere. I get that we are tedious and stifled the game first half but still.

It wasn’t even intimidating pre match, not remotely hostile or nasty. No wonder we just played our game and won it was just like any other away game. I thought Sunderland & Wednesday were more hostile atmospheres this season than that!

I don't think it was as bad some people are making out in the away end but I do agree it wasn't as good as previous years from both ends.

I don't think the style of play helps, from both sides. Neither side are known for their free-flowing attacking football to say the least and a game that results in very few clear-cut chances there's not much to get the blood flowing.
