Strange injury as the Spurs player dived to head the ball a couple of feet off the ground and seemed to bang his head on the ground with no one near him ,lads off on a stretcher after several minutes being treated.

Spurs denied a goal through VAR

Strangely, or maybe not, VAR has not been used in any of the previous rounds !!!

Bergvall should be off for two yellows and within a minute he scores. 1-0 Spurs

It is an odd one. I wonder if they’ve only done it as all 4 teams in the semis are Premier League teams so already have the tech, so wouldn’t have done if an EFL team was still involved.

But at least it’s consistent with the current round, unlike the FA Cup where the luck of the draw dictates if VAR is used or not

No idea how the ref didn't send him off. However tbf he shouldn't have been booked the first time as the Liverpool LB dived (as he had been doing all night)

Would quite like a Spurs vs Newcastle final.

Can’t have been many recent domestic finals that didn’t involve
Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U or Chelsea.

Just looked - just the one in the League Cup in last 20 years. Swansea vs Bradford in 2013.

You don’t have to touch the player for a yellow. They have the option to see it as Diaz avoiding injury. I first heard this when Cristiano Ronaldo was throwing himself about at ManUre.
