I know it was only Reading but I thought Foster had his best ever game for us yesterday.

Yes, had a v.good game.
Let's hope his various troubles are behind him and
he cracks on to prove to be a dangerous striker.

Looked way, way better playing off the left rather than with his back to goal.

I have said on several posts that he needs to start on the left, alongside Fleming, and yes agree he showed some great moments yesterday, and a great way for Parker to trial him on the left for a full 120 minutes. If I was a defender I would rather have Koleosho running against me than Foster

A front three of Jordan/Fleming/Foster could seriously convert draws to wins

Impressed with foster last night. What I would say is he looks the fittest I've seen him in a Burnley shirt.

I remember your consistent suggestion several weeks ago and I supported it at the time and after his performance yesterday I support it even more as we go into a crucial time of the season.
My only reservation about Foster is his capability to put in a prolonged spell of games. Recent history does not support this happening.

Agreed-everyone I spoke to yesterday has the same fear, but now we need to live for the moment

He was pictured at Gawthorpe recently. No seriously I have this tendancy to call him Jordan when I mean Jaidon

Played well, but to suggest he was better than he was at Villa just over a year ago has to be stretching it.

Agree, definite shades of that Villa performance though.

We desperately need consistency in his performances now, which I’d argue we’ve maybe never had.

You probably right but I can’t remember what I had for my breakfast never mind last season.

Big thing for me yesterday, and i noticed it when we won at Blackburn too, he looked happy. He was smiling with his team mates, he was full of energy and thus his performances will hopefully come regularly.

I thought he did indeed look impressive on the left cutting in and deserved his goal . Worth noting Reading gave him a total free run on the left though , no marking etc . It’s good to see him getting match fit and unless he’s going out on loan he could yet be the difference between play offs and comfortable promotion .

Even though he played the 120 yesterday let's give him 30s (on as a sub) and 65s (starts) from the left. If he does play up top, as mentioned, not back to goal, we need to have the confidence to release the ball, play the channels. We are playing with a bit more freedom now, probably because we know we have the defence sorted.

Agree our team generally can absorb a bit more attacking threat at the expense of a bit of defence, not like Lyle is lazy or anything.

Our squad is coming back really nicely at an important time.

If we can get Redmond, Benson, Ramsey and Tresor in contention, we will be so well placed. Beyer I love as a player but am assuming very end of the season / next season.

Think his best position would be left of a front three

I think he deserves more than 30 seconds.
