Just watched a very bad Vlog on Youtube from a Reading fan. I can't believe the number of empty seats.... started to wonder if the home fans were told the wrong kick off time.

We’d have had a similar gate for a FA Cup tie if we were in League 1.

We’ve had some very low attendances cup games.

Five years ago we played Peterborough and Norwich at home in the FA Cup. There were just 8,043 & 8,071 at the games.

Just over 7,000 there yesterday.

Just over 6,000 at Sheff United which I was surprised at.

Just over 7k on, that's not bad, they will be happy with that... I hate to break this to you but we are not a big draw!... It is also a fair distance for us to travel to take a big following which doesn't help.

It did look and sound a decent following on TV to be fair, considering the distance... I still think that 7k is very reasonable for them... The problem with these soulless bowl stadiums is that they can look very empty if you're playing in the lower leagues or early stages of the cup.

its January and people are skint after Christmas. Cup games cost extra so are bound to be sacrificed over league games for supporters. Freezing weather wont help either or silly kick-off times

But playing and no doubt expecting to beat Cardiff, so will see a game against them in the league as part of season ticket cost and instead save their pennies to go watch against a possible EPL side in the next round... Oops

It was a freezing cold night and a stupid kickoff time, and on TV. Be good if somebody pushed the FA about some of these daft kickoff times.
