Cup draw - new record set

We’re the first team to have had 4,157 consecutive **** cup draws.

The previous record was held by Corinthians, who had 4,156, although it was controversial at the time, because some people felt their draw at home to St Heath United wasn’t that bad.

There were still shouts of Teasdale out the last time we were drawn at home.

Lincoln at home was a fantastic draw. Unfortunately we fluffed it.

I seem to remember there was some sort of debate on here about how many we'd score.

I don't recall anyone predicting nil.

If we (19th or 20th in the PL) had been drawn at home last season v Southampton (2nd in the Championship) would we have thought ourselves as favourites?

I was expecting the inevitable Man City away so I’m kind of ok with this draw.

I guess it would have been nice to have something a bit closer for fans to get to after Reading.

I wanted the easiest possible team at home or a close away

Southampton is a ‘meh’ tie but what can you do !

Maybe because those of us who want to go to watch us in the cup now face one of the longest journey’s possible !!

From a selfish point of view, Pompey one week, scummers the next, both as local as possible for me :D

22 Jan - Plymouth (a)
1 Feb - Portsmouth (a)
8 Feb - Southampton (a)

Hardly makes it a good draw

It's a good draw if you've got a multi million pound yacht you can just anchor off the South coast for a few weeks....

I'm tying up in harbour rather than risking the Channel for a fortnight in February, thanks very much. (Mind you, I haven't bought the yacht, yet.)

Nah, you're better off with a cheap/shallow drafted yacht, especially for the Soton game; you can get those sort further up the Itchen river and into Shamrock Quay or Kemps, both of which are much better for St Mary's than Ocean Village. Similar with Portsmouth, the nearest marina will be at Camber Quay and that's only accessible for small yachts; the multi million jobs will need to moor up over in Gosport and ferry across.

In my dreams I can still see Matt Rhead ploughing through Burnleys defence.

They scored a carbon copy goal from a corner that they'd done in a previous game.

If only we'd have bothered looking at that kind of detail.

Have we not got a volunteer to cycle to each match for some charity or other.
It would certainly get us on the main news.
