The Premier League will issue disciplinary charges on Tuesday (14th Jan) against any clubs who have broken their financial rules for the 2021-2024 reporting period.

Clubs who had recorded losses for the first two seasons of the latest three-season cycle were required to submit their accounts for the year ending June 2024 to the Premier League by December 31 2024.

The latest rolling period covers seasons 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24.’

In that cycle we have not been a member of the Premier league for the 1st 2 seasons.

We probably haven't made losses anyway, have we? We can't afford much in the way of losses - losses are made by spending money you haven't earned, whether via owners' cash input or by loans. We're already mortgaged to a high level and the owners take out, not put in; so we have no scope for losses.

We already got placed under the transfer embargo for late submission of accounts in 2023, so surely we wouldn’t be charged for the same thing 2 years later

Chelsea have sold their women's team to themselves for somewhere between 100-150 million to get around it. They are losing 200 million a year.

At this point Newcastle should spend 2 billion on players, sell Jason Tindall to themselves for 700 million and take a 10 point deduction after they are 30 points clear
