Premier league finally decide punishments tomorrow
Could we potentially get a smack on the wrist for our accounts being late or maybe a deduction if we do go up?
Will city get away with it?

Clubs who had recorded losses for the first two seasons of the latest three-season cycle were required to submit their accounts for the year ending June 2024 to the Premier League by December 31; any club served with a complaint by the Premier League on Tuesday has 14 days to respond

2021/22 - Premier league
2022/23 - Championsip
2023/24 - Premier league
In that cycle we have not been a member of the Premier league for the 1st 2 seasons.

We probably haven't made losses anyway, have we? We can't afford much in the way of losses - losses are made by spending money you haven't earned, whether via owners' cash input or by loans. We're already mortgaged to a high level and the owners take out, not put in; so we have no scope for losses.

Weren't we in trouble for a late submission, not losses as such?dsr wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 12:54 amWe probably haven't made losses anyway, have we? We already got placed under the transfer embargo for late submission of accounts in 2023, so surely we wouldn’t be charged for the same thing 2 years laterdougcollins wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 9:13 amWeren't we in trouble for a late submission, not losses as such?

Leicester, Newcastle, Everton and Aston Villa the clubs closest to breaking PSR rules.
Leicester not out of the woods yet as they'll be facing charges from EFL if they're relegated.

Re: Premier league finally decide punishments tomorrow
If Chelsea can spend half a billion quid in one season and still not be breaching PSR then the regulations are broken.

But a great get out don’t you think.
“ Chelsea, who spent £747m in the 2022-23 season alone, sold their women's team to the club's parent company on June 28 2024 - two days before the end of their financial year - in order to boost their finances.
The Blues' sale of two hotels next to Stamford Bridge to a sister company for a fee of £76.5m was cleared by the Premier League in September.”.

Re: Premier league finally decide punishments tomorrow
Chelsea have sold their women's team to themselves for somewhere between 100-150 million to get around it. They are losing 200 million a year.
It stinks
Leicester find every loophole they can but that's on the Premier League to sort their **** out but they are seemingly run by idiots.
At this point Newcastle should spend 2 billion on players, sell Jason Tindall to themselves for 700 million and take a 10 point deduction after they are 30 points clear

Rules are that pathetic all clubs should just spend what they went and all get 10 points deducted each.
