Setting up a clarets number for a child advice

Help

Went into the ticket office to pick up tickets for my daughter that wouldn’t download to email which they did previously.

I’ve assumed that it’s because she hasn’t a Clarets number because of the above and also now I can’t buy her match tickets at the bargain £21 to £28 walk on for a 14 year old!
It’s saying it’s the wrong age category for my account
(She’s only just started showing an interest or I’d have bought her a season ticket)

I asked on my visit to the ticket office if they could set a Clarets number up for her, no, just do it online, was the response
I was the only customer by the way.

Signed up, registered, not signed in to the BFC site with her email and a new password

When I go into the account icon on the ticket page it just brings up my clarets number and my points

Any advice would be good

Great customer service - so good to see how Russell Ball has worked so hard to enhance the fan experience.

I didn’t expect a glass of champagne and balloons but the obvious facial expression portraying the sentiment of oh no, not a customer wasn’t ideal

Tried to buy her a ticket using her new clarets number which has her date of birth confirming that she’s 14
But I can’t buy an U18 ticket for her
I’ll be spending between £400 and £500 getting her on the Turf this year and it’s difficult to even buy the tickets

The price for walk ons means the restriction on amount of season tickets available and keeping a percentage for walk ons is nonsense as most people won’t pay these prices but the effort to purchase them would finish all but the most determined off bothering

The good old days when you could walk in the T/O and Elaine or one of her staff would just sort it out. Whoever is in charge these days needs a rocket up their backside.

I recall others had an issue with DOBs. Even though setup correctly, they weren’t being recognised by the site

I think the solution was to contact the ticket office (sorry) and the could sort it to allow purchases to be made online

Could the answer be to attach her to you on friends and family and buy it that way ?

As a slight aside, children having enough loyalty points to go to sought after away games is an issue the club has and don’t seem to want to address.

It’s a vicious circle as the child ends up going using someone else’s Clarets numbers and therefore don’t get the loyalty points for that game themselves.

How are children ever supposed to have enough points to be in the first category (over 2000 points) to go to away games which will sell out quickly.

This is exactly why the new “rolling points” system came into being

It gives them the opportunity to catch up.
My nephew is 10 and has had a season ticket for around 4/5 years now and now has generally has enough points to be in the 2 day of sales

How long does the rolling system run for - 3 years? 350 points a season for a season ticket then 10 points per away game? Don’t think they’ll get to 2k points….

It’s 5 years so minimum 1750
5 games a season (cup & away) is another 250

There’s the 2000

I've had some issues with my daughter's account recently and emailed the ticket office. Anna has been very helpful sorting things out. Email definitely seems to be a better way of contacting them than phone these days.

I’ve done that and it shows her name and number at the payment point but then says you can’t buy this age restricted ticket

You need to phone the club and they'll reset it so you can buy in the correct band

Hi
No I couldn’t find it either
You need to be logged out and then register them using their personal details inc date of birth and likely their own email or an unused one at least set a password up and then click on tickets on the top left and then on the head and shoulders icon in the top right and it should have given them a clarets number beginning with 3 it’ll be 6 digits and will say 0 Points

Strangely when I logged on using my daughters details on my laptop it still showed my Clarets number and points?
I had to use a different laptop to see her new details
Good luck

Took me an age to get a ticket for my nipper for Pompey away.

When on the ticket site log on and click the supporter icon in top right corner of the screen (little man in a circle).
Click "View Account Menu"
Under Account Management section click “Claret Network”
Click “Add Members” and then "Register a new member"

Add the persons details and activate the account via a verification email. Then when you have tickets in your trolley you can select to reallocate the ticket and should be able to select the age appropriate Account in your network.

Good luck!
