Tonight’s attendance at Deadwood.
You were only there because of Burnley.

11,900 rovers fans
Pompey took 1,800

Re: 13703
Is that official? Or from some random? I've seen photos of them on X saying 1,500 and you can tell from the pic it's nowhere near that, more like a 1,000, which is still some going.

If that's true , that is fantastic support from Pompy fans , with an over 500 mile round trip on a Wednesday night

Re: 13703
Didn't pompey sell 1,800 for the original postponed fixture? I assume they'll just use that figure for last night, as it's 'tickets sold' rather than actual attendance.
Just a guess though.

Re: 13703
1,532 was the official Pompey number. That’s tickets sold of course, just like the overall 13,703 figure.
Likely a few Pompey missed the re-arranged fixture but, from images online, so did many Blackburn fans as you’d struggle to make an argument for 10,000 being in attendance.

Re: 13703
Not even 9k on last night.
Just like us 1000s of ST holders don't turn up every game.
But just because some of their fans insisted they had a big gate against us as the team was doing well and nothing to do with their better neighbours coming to town.
It would be funny for someone to make a gif/small video of Rovers empty seats last night with the backing tune of Back to life, back to reality playing.
I'm sure someone is clever enough on here.

A couple of posters spectacularly missing the point here.
Yes, we know that our crowds would dip southwards if we have another spell of Championship mediocrity. We are well aware of what we are, where we've been and where we could end up.
The facts are that Rovers fans think because of their artificially inflated crowds during and post the Walker era, that they are a bigger club than us, we always argued that wasn't the case. We are similar sized clubs who will have high and lows.
Every time an example of this comes along we are well within our rights to point this out, in fact it's our duty to fight our corner.
For fans of a certain age, we took so much **** from them about everything, they deserve a bit (no a lot) back.

Re: 13703
So many of our own supporters can't wait to have a dig at us whenever there is a post about that lot. Just leave it out will you ?
They gave us plenty down the years, it's only right to give it back now that things have gone pear shaped for the pampered little luvvies which they cannot take one bit btw.
They made a lot of noise about it being a sell out against us (so you should, both teams top end of the league)/ what a big club they are (only in your deluded little minds) etc etc it's nice to see 10k turn tp for the next match.
Winning there the other week was absolutely fantastic, seeing them utterly dejected again makes it all worthwhile.
Roverrrrrrs, always spending other people's money.

Can't remember the specific date as they don't often mention it but I know it's sandwiched somewhere between the 2nd World War & the Gulf War.simonclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 9:13 amI think they won the FA Carling Premiership didn't they? Must be, what, 30 years ago?
