Think the very long length of contract is down to city trying to stay within FFP - just like those long contracts Chelsea have been giving out.
Facilitates amortisation over a longer period.

In terms of ensuring they get a big fee for him I don’t think 9.5 years guarantees you any bigger fee really than a 5 year contract - but I reckon it’s immaterial anyway as they will have put in a release clause like he did with his Dortmund contract.

According to the City website it’s a 10 year contract. But all the city fans I know are saying it’s actually in between, 115 months.

I find it interesting to see Haaland is left handed. Considering only 10% of population are left handed but many actors, sports people, politicians, surgeons etc at the VERY top of their profession are left handed. Ya, I know it's useless information but I find it interesting nonetheless.
