Words absolutely fail me how that man ever passed any kind of refereeing exam. He was appalling beyond belief.

I think that the foul on Flemming was definitely a penalty whereas both of theres were definitely not.

I don't think I've seen a ref as bad, it was Sunday league stuff. I couldn't work out if he was, poor, p!ssed or bent

This is a prime case of why refs should have to do post match interviews and explain what they thought they saw

He must be seriously out of pocket , got to have had a big bet on Sunderland. The 2 penalty decisions, wow, just wow.

All three should have been an option.

That was as bad as it gets - putting the penalties and non penalty aside, it was like he’d decided he wasn’t going to give any free kicks tonight - he was going to let the game flow regardless of what was happening around him. An absolute shocker but let’s not forget his assistants and fourth official were equally culpable. Having booked Ballard, how has he not got a second yellow for the awful challenge on Cullen at the end? Shocking in so many ways

Hey, come on Luppy, he gave a throw in the correct way at one point so, there was that ;)

Really poor display from the ref. The FA needs to do something drastic if he is the standard of ref in this country (even in the second tier).

No foul on Cirken despite him making no attempt to play the ball and just taking Anthony out early in the game.
No booking for Cirken for cynical pull down of Anthony to stop a counter.
No penalty for the foul on Flemming.
Not giving a obvious free for a late foul on Roberts but stopping the play for his injury despite him being basically off the pitch. Then 2 mins later plays on when a Sunderland player was down for ages.
Gives 2 dreadful penalties.
How is CJ not sent off? Last man, not playing the ball so no double punishment exemption, no chance of covering defender getting there.
Trafford not getting booked during the first penalty for obvious time wasting.
Not giving a second yellow to Ballard for his tackle on Cullen.

Those were the main stand outs of major errors never mind the random decisions on how much physicality before he would blow for a free
