Did the ref arrive on the Mackems coach?

He's given every decision to the Mackems. We're getting nothing and how he missed that foul on Anthony early on is beyond me. It was a yellow card for sure.

He was an utter disgrace. Two incorrect penalties and Ballard should have had a 2nd yellow for that disgraceful challenge.

I think the second was the correct decision
I'm second guessing myself though, cos he got every other decision wrong

1st was 100% not a penalty
And I think the challenge on Flemming is a pen. He blocks the shot with no attempt to win the ball

And there's no excuse for missing the 1st half foul on Anthony. That wasn't even questionable

First one is a dreadful decision, second one I think is probably right. It's really poor for Sonne and I imagine Parker regrets throwing into a game of that that size so early.

I also thought the one on Flemming was a pen, the player goes through him before touching the ball imo

He actually gave the second one for handball - it was easy to lip read on TV. Ridiculous decision.

In the early 60's we used to sing "oh, oh, oh, oh, what a referee!" About the worst we've seen in 10 years.

Referee was awful but up until that first pen Sunderland fans had enough reason to be as p*ssed off with him as us so it definitely wasn't one way traffic. First penalty decision was a howler but Id be wanting a penalty for the second one every day of the week if it was the other way around

He gave the second pen for handball which just about summed up his performance.

Never mind Ballard their LB should have seen 2 yellows as well and much earlier.

I don't know how they can moan. He didn't give a foul on Anthony early on when he would have been away, and then gave them a free kick when their player slipped and Humphreys would have been clear. Then he gives them two penalties, one which definitely wasn't and the other dubious as he gave it for hand ball. Where was his hand supposed to be if he is sliding along the floor.

Suggest any of you guys who didn’t watch on tv watch the full match replay and note the utterly corrupt decisions made against us. Even 2 pens couldn’t get him the win he clearly had his cash on !!! Should be down at the Nick facing charges of bribery and corruption right now.
Watching live I counted at least 8 cases of corruption

I've got a good mate who's a blackburn fan and he watched the game. Has text saying neither were pens.

Ref had a really good game for me. First pen looked nailed on… second looked “iffy” but a mate said that too was defo a pen.

Great game, really well reffed for me.

I’ve just seen the bits on TV… first one was a free kick - outside the box. I watched it live and was convinced it was a pen. Second one looked a foul all day long in real time but wasn’t even a challenge…

Wow.

Plays havoc with the “if you were at the game your opinion is worth more than a TV opinion” statement used for player scores or ref scores.

I wonder what odds he got.

Either that or something even more sinister. He should be reported.

Both their penalties looked nailed on to me too in person. How wrong we were.

The Flemming pen also looked nailed on and still can't believe it wasn't given.

The biggest thing that has come out of Shithouses disgraceful performance is that The Championship has to do 1 of 2 things if it is to retain any semblance of credibility
1. Cull all its utterly inferior referees and linesmen or preferably 2. Introduce VAR no later than the start of next season. It is the only way they can control the rogue and corrupt officials

Not much of a fan of VAR, but at the end of the day, the prize is too big to leave it up to the utter incompetence we witnessed on Friday evening.

By the way, I'm being way too generous when I say it was incompetence, but I'll leave it at that.

From what I've seen of referees in the championship this season I wonder if some are "cashing in" before VAR puts a stop to it.
