Oh dear!

DL look up for it. They look good.

Could be 5 unless SW get a grip.

Someone smarter than me will have to tell me why Bannan was having a go at the keeper for that. Could maybe have pushed it further away after the first stop but seemed harsh.

Exactly what I thought.

Whoever left the runner from midfield was the problem. Keeper made a decent save.

Think Bannan just showing the fans it can't possibly be his fault.

Sheff Wed look dangerous when they go forward and have corners. Need to shut up shop at the back, which I doubt they can do.

They probably bought a "We Love Leeds" ticket in some obscure lottery and won it. :(

And there lies the problem. Leeds are moving the ball very quickly whereas we move it at snails pace.

Was just going to post similar, we look to be playing in slow motion in comparison.

Sheff Wed are playing very well but need to score whilst they are. They played like this in the second half against Sheff Utd but lost 1-0.

HT still 1-0 Leeds.
Wednesday doing ok now, but looking a bit
toothless up front.
Let's hope they turn it around second half.

If we play out from the back against Leeds, like we continually did against Sunderland, we're gonna find trouble.

Because it was poor goalkeeping.

Either hold it or parry it out of danger. He did neither.

Playing badly and winning the key to success. Playing slowly , well with 200 passes gets you draws.

Goalkeeper could have caught that instead of giving Leeds another corner. I know they are taught to punch now but surely there must be situations where they catch it.

I don’t really get this criticism, the co-commentator was hammering the keeper for it too. The shot/cross was on target and the keeper was stretching for it. It was an awkward catch and one that if he got wrong would have ended in the back of the net. Keepers want to catch the ball when their body is behind it.

Every time Sheff Wed make a tackle the Leeds fans are up in arms. They think every tackle is a foul because the Leeds player is on the floor.

Fine margins. Had the Sheffield wed player got any touch from the corner it was 1-1.

The Wednesday striker pulled his head back from the flick on, he should be putting himself and the ball in the net.

Then DL go up the other end and score.

Fine margins

Unfortunately that`s the difference. we have a top two defence but lower half midfield and front line, no real matchwinners which you need when games aren`t always going your way.

Leeds just have a very good in depth squad. They have a lot of pace and fire power. I’d be happy to take a draw against them.

Leeds and Sunderland are streets ahead of us as attacking forces. I don’t necessarily think they have better players overall, though our lack of pace all over the pitch was frightening on Friday (particularly Laurent, Roberts, Brownhill and Cullen, who all are as quick as a road roller), I just think that Parker’s tactics are horrendous. It’s so boring to watch, so slow, so negative and I think it will cost us in the second half of the season.

Leeds, Sunderland and Sheff U set up to win and actually try to do so. The way they play, Leeds and Sunderland in particular, has fans off their seat and it’s exiting to watch. Everything Parkerball isn’t. Look at the positive change the Sunderland manager made on Friday: 10 to go, 0-0 away from home. Settle for that? No, go two up front, go for it and two penalties (however dubious) and significant pressure resulted.

What did our manager do? Subs yes but changed absolutely nothing. Pass, pass, pass, sideways, backwards.

I hope I’m wrong but I’ve a feeling Monday’s match is going to be excruciating, which is so frustrating because I firmly believe that if we go for it we’ll overwhelm them, as with many other games I’ve witnessed home and away this season.

Half way through, the season just feels like a missed opportunity. We’re 3rd, which is great but with a tiny bit of ambition we’d have been ahead of the pack. Incredibly frustrating.

It’s a funny one. It’s only one game and as we have proven this season, particularly away from home, we do well against the top six. Our season is worse than it should be because of our results against the so-called poorer sides and our inability to be successful in attack against them, unlike Leeds, Sunderland, Sheffield United. We could well beat Leeds But then come unstuck at home against bottom half sides and effectively cancel that win out with loads of bore draws. As I say, so incredibly frustrating.
