Burnley FC ISA Survey: Claret and You

Supporters of Burnley Football Club are based far and wide, and differ in so many ways. When all is said and done though, we're all Clarets.

The Burnley FC Independent Supporters Association (BFC ISA) is being set up to represent your voice. We’re not like any other group - we’re fully independent, none of our members work for Burnley Football Club, and we’re committed to running things democratically.

Our goal is to build a positive and productive relationship with Burnley Football Club while staying true to the fans, so, to kick things off, we’ve put together a quick Fans Survey to hear about what makes you a Claret and what you would improve about our club.

Your answers will help shape what we do and make sure BFC ISA is focused on what matters most to fans. Our survey will be running from this evening (20/01) for the next month or so.

Reminder: We continue to seek enthusiastic fellow fans who wish to get involved in the the association.

If you are interested in putting yourself forward please reach out to us via the survey, or via the email address: burnleyfcisa@gmail.com

Thank you,

Burnley FC ISA

Completed this.

I'm pleased to see it generally allows open-ended answers rather than having tick-boxes that might or might now allow you to fully communicate what you wish to.

Completed. Anything that improves or tries to improve communication between fan and club has to be a good thing.

I had to log into my Google account in order to complete the survey, which concerned me a little.

I did not have to log-in either. The Google log-in was an option, if you wanted it.

The Google login option appears to just be to allow you to login so that your progress is saved for you to return to in the event you only did half of it (or whatever) then had to leave. Seen as the survey takes about 5 min to complete, it can be ignored. The survey didn't require me to leave email address or any personal information as mandatory, all optional.

Done. Very refreshing that the questions weren't designed to make sure the club gets the answers it wants.

Yep, I get that Pete, I suppose I was just a little taken aback that I could answer how I wanted as opposed to selecting a prescribed response. This survey actually wanted my opinion, which I thought was unusual. UTC

I am happy to say that I registered my interest and I’m now working with a small group of people. We are looking for others to come forward and pleasingly, three or four have in the last 24 hours. We want this thing to grow. The response to the survey over the first 24 hours has been PHENOMENAL…and it WILL inform how to move forwards. Please get on board if you fancy it. Thank you

Filled it in but personally found the question on “Opinion: Food, beverage, concourse and merchandise pricing” a little difficult to answer.

Inconsiderate the “merchandiser” element to relate to the club shop products and don’t really consider it to be overpriced in relation to other football clubs whereas the food & drink on offer on the concourse is shocking quality at ridiculous prices

Excellent and thanks bobinho - the whole purpose of it was to seek fans' opinions.

I think I made it clear after the soft launch that I'd opted to get involved. Right now, it's not about who because that will change once the association is set up and accepting members. Right now, it's a small group working hard to try to put things together and I believe more people have come forward following this survey.

And you were right to think that. I don’t want people thinking I’m out there setting up a secret organisation. I’m not. I’ve merely shown an interest in something that means a lot to me and I will do whatever I can to support the association. It absolutely sounds like a setup where there is no intention of treading on the toes of other established groups and where possible, forming the best possible relationship with the club moving forward. The fact that it’s independent really appeals.

Done. Some good questions in there. Only contentious one is ticket pricing, as a season ticket holder my seat is around £22 a game which is great pricing but obviously walk on pricing is sometimes over double that so I can see why that would be expensive.

I don't have access to the results of the survey but I believe there has been a terrific response. If you haven't completed it yet, please do, the link is at the top of this thread.

Good to see more people coming forward to get involved too.
