Did think that. Not the best player tonight by any means, but was efficient, worked hard and got an assist.

Won't rate tonight as i missed some bits but:
- Foster made a massive difference as an outlet and with his running power from the left, and there were promising signs of an understanding with Flemming. He just needs to gamble on goal scoring positions more.
- Pires played very well at left back and his ability to play forwards helped us get between the lines. He gets unfairly maligned.
- Roberts was exceptional at right back and Anthony had a superbly industrious and effective game up and down the right wing.
- Brownhill's cross for the opener was exquisite whilst Cullen's quick free kick for the second was equally magnificent. Our first three goals are amongst the best three team goals we've scored all season.
- the only criticism I'd make of Flemming's performance is he should have had 3 or 4. Great to see him in those areas so frequently.
A promising night. The players needed that sort of win to remove the millstone if commenta about not scoring goals. Any sort of result against Leeds and we'll be through this tough run in good shape.

Made a huge difference by committing their defenders and opening up space. Really selfless performance. Just needs to get inside the back post more when the ball is on the opposite side.

It would have been really really silly to not have taken feet off of the gas after thet first half, so surely if it has affected your scoring it should have been in a positive direction?

Trafford - 6 - a real cigar and picnic evening. Nothing to do bar one punched clearance
Roberts - 8 - thought he was excellent throughout
CJER - 7 - another good performance
Exteve - 7 - see CJ
Pires - 7 - tidy enough but Humphreys will come back in Monday
Cullen - 9 - back to his metronome best
Laurent - 9* - I thought he was outstanding start to finish.
Brownhill - 7 - good performance and sensational pass for first
Anthony - 9 - a constant threat. A hand of sorts in 3 goals?
Flemming - 9 - comfortably his best performance of the season
Foster - 8 - a selfless performance, put full back on the back foot all night
Sarmiento - 6 - we’d took our foot of the gas by the time he came on
Koleosho - 6 - see Sarmiento
You can only beat what is in front of you. First half we were simply too good, second half was a keep everyone fit exercise

It's hilarious some to see some low marks for a game that was essentially put to bed after 35 minutes or so we were so in command. I suppose the marks would have been higher if we'd have won 3-2 with a 96th minute screamer

Trafford 7 - quiet night, pipe and slippers
Roberts 7 - solid but not influential
Egan Riley 7 - good but for one bad howler which is at risk of becoming commonplace, defenders can’t afford one per game
Esteve 8 - class in a glass and a bit of fire too when that cheating sod claimed he’d been kicked
Pires 7 - some decent play both forward and back, had a tricky bight marking Whitt…..oh….wait
Cullen 9 - since his missus got that bun in the oven he has been on fire, he must agree given that ball under top celebration
Brownhill 7 - a bit more restrained tonight but a great assist, unconventional but effective
Laurent 9 - highlight of his career to date probably, could have had a hat trick, he’ll start against DL ahead of Shelvey
Anthony 7 - a mark knocked off for not making hay against a dire defence, but did well in general
Foster 7 - as Anthony
Flemming 9 - a handful and a battering ram, unlucky not to have a hat trick
Sarmiento 6 - we were conserving energy by then
Koleosho 6 - as Sarmiento
Fantastic performance of drive and intensity. They had to “man up” to play us, and frankly, they didn’t. We played a great card by unsettling their best player before the game (I have no doubt we genuinely want him) . I get very frustrated because when we go ahead, we win (Rovers wonder strike the only exception) and when we go behind we kick on and throw players forward. So why don’t we do it early to get ahead, knowing if it goes wrong we can then come back? Feels like a lack of bravery tactically that would otherwise have us clear at the top, but let’s not be churlish, tonight was great, but let’s see more of these bodies committed forward, not just for 30 minutes in a game. Saying that, against Leeds, I would be happy with some pragmatism, but we tried that against Sunderland and were lucky it didn’t bite us on the arse. But well done tonight Scott.
p.s. Wilder will be worried, I feel we are nailed on for 2nd, and could get top if we are brave enough.

Anyone only giving Cullen an 8 should be banned from marking ,he was all over the pitch and kicked from pillar to post.

Plymouth put in a performance reminiscent of one of our PL outings from last season but, as bad as they were, you can only beat what’s in front of you.
This tanking was exactly what has been missing from this season so far, exactly what we should have been doing on numerous occasions before now.
Trafford 7 flip flops deluxe
Roberts 8 top
Egan-Riley 7 easy street
Esteve 7 equally easy street
Pires 7 very decent, he’s fine to play against the lowly teams
Cullen 9 metronome
Laurent 9 two bags for the big dogg
Brownhill 8 assist of the season for the first
Anthony 9 heavily involved in a lot of good things
Foster 8 so much better on the left than on his own with his back to goal and he properly puts the work in
Flemming 9 as good as we’ve seen from him up top, certainly has an knack for a good hit
Sarmiento 6 game over by then
Koleosho 6 same
It all clicked tonight. Superb performance that brought the goals that we should have been bagging earlier than this in the season; now we have to build on this. There’s no easy games in this division but we can give most teams a good slapping if we want to. Just have to want to.

You can only beat what's in front of you and it really didn't take much for Cullen, Brownhill, Laurent, Flemming and the defenders to look absolutely light years ahead of anything in a Plymouth shirt. I have to be totally honest and say despite the bobbins opposition, Foster still managed to look poor unfortunately, but everyone else (bar the subs and especially the helpless Jayrod) was far, far too strong for a side anchored to the foot of the league. We've been critical this season when we haven't duly stuffed the "also rans". Well tonight we well and truly stuffed a member of that group, so happy enough!

Cannot score as only watched a stream but the first 35 mins was sublime. The game was over by then and after half time it was keep a clean sheet, avoid injuries, keep everyone fresh for the next game. The scores should be looking at when the players were looking to win the game. The last 55 mins were irrelevant.

Just logged on to find someone scored Pires a 4. After his best performance in a Claret shirt. After laying waste to Plymouth’s right side along with Foster. After spending the entire game in the opponent’s half. After showing touches Charlie Taylor could only dream of.
But there you have it.
Lucas Pires. 4.

You must of watched a different game than me. He was poor all night his decision making is poor, he constantly miss places passes and throw ins and gets the wrong side of his man he is our weak link.

He’s a bit unorthodox but people have already made their mind up and subsequently score him per their opinion rather than watching the game.
Spice summed it up well (as usual) earlier in the thread.

Some of the scores on here are absolutely disgraceful and given by people who’ve clearly never kicked a ball in their life.
Trafford 7 - nothing to do
Roberts 8 - fantastic energy first half
Esteve - 7 solid
Egan Riley -7 solid
Pires - 7 getting better
Cullen 9* mom. Ran the whole game
Laurent 9 as good a first half he’ll ever have
Brownhill 9 that cross . Wow
Anthony 9- best game for us
Foster 8- great assist and deserved a goal
Flemming- 9 proper strikers performance
Subs - all 6 didn’t really change the game
Parker -9
Fans 10.

Trafford- 7. Nothing to do
Roberts- 8. Neat tidy and got forward well
CJ- 7. Nothing to do
Esteve- 7. Nothing to do
Pires- 8. Think he’s found his level
Cullen- 10*. Absolutely ran the show. Reads the game so well and wins so many non fouls it’s unreal
Laurent- 9- must put the most sprints in of any of our team.
Brownhill 8- great ball in for the first
Anthony- 9. Potentially best game for us
Flemming- 9. First touch immense
Foster- 8. Really changes the look of our attack when he plays out there
Koleosho- 3. Can’t give him anymore. Doesn’t ever beat a man anymore. Passing awful and as someone behind me said just runs down a cup-de-sac every time. Should have got rid when we had chance.
Sarmiento- 5. Didn’t really do much but the game was won
Rodriguez- 5. As above
Hannibal- 6. Looked the liveliest of any that came on
Worrall- na
In reality you could have picked 2 fans to play at cb they were that bad.

I thought the work rate of both Cullen and Laurent was superb this evening. I wonder if it's due to a certain JJS joining this week? Nothing like a bit of competition.

Not fair to rate the subs when we were just going through the motions but for all his ability I would dock Hannibal points for showboating - could have ended the long no-conceding run.
