Paul Mersons cough.

Having just watched Paul Merson being interviewed for a few minutes on the Sky football show. I have noticed a number of times he has a constant thickly type cough, which I find off putting. Ok I could’ve switched channels, but the man can be heard coughing in the background, when he’s sat with other panel members, who are talking on camera about a game update, on match days. Maybe there is more to the cough than I’ve described, but how does he manage to keep his commentating job.

Perhaps he just picked up what’s currently going around which I appear to have picked up as well.

Then it's a good job you are no longer in employment or your work would need to fire you according to the OP.

Merson has had his cough for months, not weeks. I wouldn’t have posted, if it had been. Today it was persistent. But Sky allowing him to speak on live tv from home, when a host of other commentators could’ve filled in his position, baffled me.

Can't quite agree with you there ACIS. I find his absence quite pleasant.

The cuff is the only thing that comes out of his mouth that isn’t complete and utter drivel. Then he has to say everything twice, say everything twice in case we missed it.
