We are changing Mrs Wa car to electric and looking to get an EV charger installed
Does anybody have any recommendations of companies for installing one in the Burnley/Pendle area?
Done a search but always good to get opinion of somebody that’s used them

I didn't order mine through a local company ... I used "Smart Home Charge"
Had an "Ohme home pro" fitted that been very reliable for us for the past 2 years.

I used Sean from Mulcahy EV. Based in Darwin, he came to put mine in on my property in Broughton, Preston. Excellent, quick service, - he did the job on the day originally quoted. Tel no 07762978353- email
sean@mulcahyelectrical.co.uk
I told him we were getting a Tesla, and Sean recommended Easee standard home EV charger. It’s over 3 yrs old now, and hasn’t missed a beat. Very good charger.

Surely there must be someone more geographically convenient?

I had an Easee One installed about ayear ago by a company called PlugMeIn - they took a while to give me an install date and weren't great at responding but when the lad came he was very good (albeit iI'd done some of the hard work him).
Had no issues at all with it.

If they’re still doing the offer, British Gas were doing a free years EV charging with a purchase of a charger from them
You have to have a BG electric tariff though and a smart meter
If you do switch to BG one of their EV tariffs also gives you 8 hours every night on 33% of your normal tariff for electric - not just EV - so we’ve been hammering the dishwasher and washing machine overnight since our install

Give Phil a call at Red Rose Electrical
Burnley lad (and fan) and brilliant for anything from a socket change to a full rewire domestic or commercial.
Tell him his mate from Chester recommended him and he'll sort you out.

Seeing as the fitter has been recommended enough, another vote for the Ohme Home Pro charger. Works well, easy app to use. Only one minor quibble which takes some getting used to, you set the "charge to add" not the "charge to get to". So if you are at 50% and want to get to 90%, you set it to "add 40%" instead of "stop at 90%".
