Kicking off with the Eagles v Commanders at 8 then Chiefs v Bills at 11.30.
Hoping for an Eagles v Bills Superbowl but hard to look past the Chiefs record in the playoffs.
Know a few people on the forum are in to NFL so thought would start this.

I’ve followed Washington since the great Joe Theismann days in the early ‘80s.
I’ll have everything crossed but it will be difficult. Last game Eagles looked good until Fields concussion after that we got to grips with Barkley and turned it around.
On Washingtons positive side after the first game of the season they only lost 4 more. With 3 successive defeats after Daniels rib injury when he was seriously restricted

I used to be an NFL fan during the generation there was NO footy coverage in this country. I followed the Redskins for a while because of 'Joe the throw' Theismann. He learned his trade playing quarterback for Toronto Argonauts in CFL (Canadian Football League) I was also unfortunate enough to see Buffalo Bills appear in three consecutive Super Bowls and lose them all

If Eagles win the Super Bowl I win the £300 pot at our local American sports bar, so you can pretty much rule them out.
The bar we normally watch it at is getting a refurb so 10 of us have hired an Airbnb for the Super Bowl final, can’t bloody wait

Pressure is on the Eagles and they nearly bottled it last week.
Commanders and Daniels playing some excellent 'ball and have no pressure on them, as seen by beating the Bucs and Lions so far in the playoffs.
Two really exciting games coming up.

Hoping Washington wins the lot.
I'm sick of the Chiefs getting away with all sorts from the officials (stats back it up as well), I don't want the Bills to win because I'm a Miami fan, and the less said about the obnoxious Eagles, the better.

We're they referred to as 'the hogs' back in the 80's?

I believe you are correct. John Riggins was their main running back, one of the few white running backs at the time. Art Monk was a wide receiver on that team. Theismann's career was cut short by a horrible broken leg televised on Monday Night Football.

Yup, that's him

Running through a wall was merely a minor distraction

The ‘O’ line were the hogs, always down in the dirt. The fans back then used to wear pig snouts.

Fireworks going off and people celebrating in the street here in Philly. If my team the Saints can't be in the big bowl in their home stadium, then I'm glad it's the Eagles. Hoping for a match up with the Bills. Now - if the Clarets can get three points tomorrow, that would make it a great few days of results.

No spoilers because I know some of you watch the game in the morning so I'll not tell you the score - what a game though, everything I hoped it would be.

So the men in stripes ensured the Chiefs made it again.
A couple of appalling decisions.
Bills were shown, from goal line camera, to get the ball inside the last yard. For the fourth down ball was spotted almost on the two yard line. They handed over on downs.
On another late fourth down attempt Allen looked to have made it but it was denied and confirmed on review. The tv referee, Gene Steratore?, said it looked good.
Chiefs bias was talked about all week but it is never ending.

Eagles also had an obvious hold missed, a dubious PI and a borderline late hit all in their favour on crucial plays. The ‘skins threw it away after those calls. The Zebras seem to be called for bias and coming under deeper scrutiny this season.
