Poulton Clarets

Post by Poulton-le-Claret » Sun Jan 26, 2025 11:48 pm

Just checking if any Clarets from the Poulton-le-fylde area want/need a lift for the Leeds game?

I am looking to set off between 5:30 - 6pm. I will be parking off Westgate and walking to the ground and heading home straight after the final whistle.

No Leeds fans allowed :D

No worries, I might catch you for that game Woodley! My in-laws live just off Breck Road, I am the other side of Poulton, just off Tithebarn Street, so Breck Road isn't far out of my way.

Hope you are all feeling better soon :D

Hi Woodley, there are a few of us in the Poulton area. I live in Carleton, as does my brother. We prefer to catch the train but a combination of train strikes, timetables, weather and ridiculous kick off times restrict the pleasure! We will have to have an end of season do in the Town Hall tavern.

Very true! I always think we must be one of the best supported teams when you look at the size of Burnley.

Do you normally drive or do you catch the train from Poulton?

If enough people are interested I can always set up a WhatsApp chat for Wyre area fans to share lifts. All these midweek games are a killer for catching the train, but it has been easier sharing lifts between me, BeeHoleClaret and Bonzo. :D

Hi guys. I’m another Poulton Claret and already in contact with Poulton le Claret having travelled with him to and from a number of games already this season. I can’t commit to regular car share due to various family commitments that arise but happy to drive / share lifts if suitable arrangements can be made. My brother (Bonzo) has already posted above.

Hopefully get to meet a few of you as the season progresses.

Hi Woodley, I am driving over for the game tonight if you need a lift?

I have already touched based with BeeHoleClaret, who is going to Burnley early, but joining me for the return drive home and he said Bonzo doesn't need a lift tonight.

Planning to leave around 5:30pm, parking up near Westgate and walking to the Turf from there.
