Wow.
I've moved from Buxton over to Hope Valley way. It's just full of bloody tourists!
But used to go to the New Inn in Flash there a lot at one time. Spent many hours waiking around the hills there with my dog, in all 4 directions.
It's very wild but, achingly beautiful. I particularly loved Orchard Common area.
Many moons ago, saw Wallabies 3 times in one day down Gradbach way.
He'll love it.

Yep...he found the pub ok!
We took a good walk round a reservoir in Hope Valley last week...lovely area.
There's a wee roadside cafe just near his new place...I've made it my go-to for a big brekkie when I visit.

The one at Flash Bar?
That (ex) pub across the road was The Travellers Rest, until a decade or so ago.
Lol
He's not at the place just above 3 shires head, where the old recluse lived? Only found out he left this life a few months ago.
But whoever he's at, it's a stunning area to live.
Leek is a good town too.

Not sure of that name? The one I meant was looking S westward, across the road, over that steep hill from your breakfast spot.

Sadly don't get up that way now. All the lads I went up there with are no longer with us. Though still know a girl i used to know is still up that way.
But that another story.
Goes all the way back to The Orient Game. Lol

Yes, know it. (Had had a few beers last night)
Walked past his farm many times going on my circular trip to the pub via Three Shires!
