Big recovery by India. from 79/5 after 10.4 to 181/9 and that included a very good last over from Overton which (if I remember right) went for only 3 runs and had 3 wickets (2 of which were run outs).
It'll have to be a very good batting display to get all those. Fingers crossed for at least 2/3 batters hit top form.

Umpires done India a huge favour there allowing the sub

Absolute farce
India play 12 players
They are allowed a “concussion sub “
A batter who can bowl a bit bats for India
He is replaced with a bowler who can bat a bit
This said player takes 3 wickets in his 4 overs to win the game for India
England should have refused to continue imo

Yes, more than a bit dodgy that. When Dube got hit, he was passed fit to continue (albeit only 1 ball) but then declared unable to field because of concussion.
He's a bit of an all rounder but mainly a bat so to be replaced by a specialist bowler (who took 3-33) is arguably not "like-for-like".

Typically India ruling the roost again, remember in the World Cup they picked a pitch that shouldn’t have been played on,Cricketing authorities bowing and scraping to them isn’t anything new.

The 'like for like' sub situation was a farce.
However, both Duckett and Brooks need to ask themselves what they were doing to give their wickets away as they did. THis was a game which we should have won, however, when the 'like for nothing like' sub gets the Man of the Match you have to wonder about the legalities.

100% Agree ...
Jos Buttler should have left the field when he found out, which was apparently after 7.3 overs when he came into bat ...
In the entirety of the 2024 Indian IPL, Dube, the player who left the field bowled 1 Over ... Harshit Rana is a pace bowler who can hold a bat !! The Match Referee, Javagal Srinath, is a former Indian Test player with 67 Tests and 229 ODI's to his name .. the whole thing stinks ! In addition, the Indian authorities have again disrupted England's preparations for this tour, by refusing to approve Visas to England players with Pakistani heritage until the very last moment ...

Has anyone worked out just what our bowlers are trying to achieve? It really is buffet bowling at the moment.

That has been a great weekend for English cricket in Australia, Kuala Lumpur and India. Biggest T20 defeat suffered today.
Good luck to our Under 19s in their test starting tomorrow in Rondebosch, South Africa.

Kevin Pieterson very scathing on commentary in the latest ODI.
He claims that only Joe Root has had a net session since they arrived in India.

Fair to say McCullum’s white ball initiation has gone horribly wrong.

The line between players playing with freedom and taking some responsibility seems to have been missed by a distance.

Line up just seems all over the place.
Lose three wickets and it looks like the match is over

Maybe top level sport requires a bit more coaching than golf days and just telling them to do what they want?

A complete collapse of batting, technique, how to build and pace an innings, these all absent. Buttler an uninspiring captain, a battery of ill disciplined pace bowlers and nobody to accompany Rashid. Winning in India does not come easy but this lot and their coach are clueless.

India literally crushed us in the 50 over ODI’s , even when we put a total up in 2nd match they cruised to victory . Like in the T20’s where we looked fast and loose , India were better organised , fielded better , batted far more controlled and Jadedja and Kuldeep again showed us the art of real spin bowling .

Yes have seen much better cricket at Hare Hill than this. Not convinced by Bazball, Buttler and many others and the wheels have come off for Brook.
