No chance with the money he got But he needs serious words with some who today didn't turnup
Foden was particularly poor today

Never liked his style of footy so to see him get beat so frequently is brilliant.

Wasn't Foden meant to become one of England's best ever players.

He's certainly one of our best younger players. Not playing well today in a misfiring team doesn't change that.

I know he’s signed a new contract but I can see him walking away come Summer.
They need a major re-build, much like ManUre, probably two seasons work to get them back to where they were.

He's doing pretty well and just last season he was the Premier League Player of the Season, FWA Footballer of the Year, PFA Player of the Year, 4th top score in the Premier League and made the Champions League team of the season
He's 24 and has won 6 League titles, 2 FA Cups, 4 League Cups and a Champions League trophy as well as 43 international caps.
You always pipe up every now and then when Foden's having a quieter period but considering when he broke through at Man City and was being eased in by Pep you were posting on here he should go on loan to Europe and that Pep and Man City would stifle his career I'd sit this subject out

I don't understand why he's still there really. He's done a fantastic job but things have to end eventually, he should have gone a while ago

Yep and as you get fixated on certain things you always pop up in a similar vain to question Foden when he's having a quieter spell

Thierry Henry mentioned it in a very sensitive way, that Pep is/has also got a lot going on in the background. Obviously could/might not have an effect on his coaching but things come from the top. Haaland strolling around with his new mega contract in his pocket, players not pressing/getting back.
Time for them to call that other magnificent legend that is…………

Must admit after being there so long this summer might have been a good time for a change. Won everything there and would still have left a hero.

It’s given us plenty of 0 - 0 wins this season.

I'm with you on this one.
Sick of watching top tier games that resemble a training session. The change to the goal kick rule has only served to aide sideways, backwards keepball.

Pep is a fantastic manager don't think anyone can deny this, but you do worry for his sanity watching him stood on the touchline these past few months
I wish him well.

Agreed 100%. Hopefully some other forward thinking coach will come up with a revolutionary system such as hoofing the ball upfield hoping it'll find a team mate

Can't be any worse than tippy tappy

Just goes to show the impact of a manager at the highest echelons of the game. Give him lesser players and he aint half the manager everyone calls him out to be.
His methods worked with the best, but doesn't quite have the best anymore so not working as well.

Mix it up. Don’t have to plagiarise a system when you don’t have the quality to.
Nice sarcasm though. 442 Jimmy mulllen football will never be beaten imo .

Boring football for the most part. They try to walk it in. Arsenal were far more potent. Needs a rebuild to energise a new team.

Haaland always strolls around unless he can score. He usually only has two touches but scores a hattrick - well, you know what I mean.

Not about City, but one of the Pop-clone sides in Brighton. Another sign the game is moving on again at the weekend. Coaches around the country have spent 5-10 years obsessing about the stat at the bottom, but now 'direct' sides are getting scores like the one at the top, maybe things will change.
Arsenal focussing on set pieces. Forest riding high with pacy wingers and a big lad up top. Attractive passing sides going straight back where they came from.
Phil Foden is absolute class by the way, just had a poor 30 minutes in the 2nd half.
