Watford, Sunderland, Millwall, QPR, Sheffield Utd.

I'm amazed at myself that I can recall them, such is the rarity. I have a memory like a sieve. What an incredible statistic.

It doesn't really "scan" - or make a great chant, though, does it.

"23, 23 undefeated, 23 undefeated I say." - and repeat.

15 league games left this season.

Exactly this PICKLES. imagine offerinng our neighbours this record???, sick to death of whingers on here.... Our record in this league is remarkable. Football has been dull this year, but we are averaging 2 points per game, are second in the league have just signed an absolute baller of a right winger, and have others returning.... Benson very close, JJ getting on.

Stick with it, 3 months and you can whinge about cricket.

It's a remarkable record.

Surely no other team has ever had so few defeats over 100 games at this level?

To my reckoning it's also 15 defeats in 169 games at this level. Thats a defeat rate of 8.8%

Manuelbenny says 15 defeats on 173 games at this level. Can't say who's right as not checked and wouldn't know how to tbf.

I just added up starting from Dyche's first full season in charge. Look like your figure includes a handful of games at the end of his first half season (less than 0.5 seasons, for clarity).

Of those 5 defeats

1-0 at Watford, fair
5-2 at Sheffield - fell apart second half
1-0 v Millwall fair, really poor performance. However Flemming couldn't play and Foster was injured

Then 1-0 at Sunderland - Half the team in disarray due to the transfer saga
2-1 v QPR at home, we absolutely battered them, massive snatch and grab, we had one eye on Ewood

So is this correct that only one team have beaten us by more than one goal in a hundred games in the Championship?

MAD

Apparently I must have been the only person livid with us losing to QPR that day. Honestly (and I know its a night that will live in our history forever) I'd have rather have won the league then and had made Blackburn have to do a guard of honor for us when we came out at Ewood. They couldnt have not done as it would have shown them to be classless to the world.

Could spin a couple of those. Watford we really should have at least got a draw with the chances we had and the red card stopped us scoring.
Some have argued that the Sunderland goal was offside. Difficult to fully tell but it is a possibility.

Our recent history in the Championship!
13-14: P46, W26, D15, L5, 93 points
15-16: P46, W26, D15, L5, 93 points
22-23: P46, W29, D14, L3, 101 points
24-25: P31 W16, D13 L2, 61 points
So we've only lost 15 times in our last 169 Championship games - just incredible.
Leicester lost 11 last season and won the league!

Just looking at those records, bearing in mind we have already drawn nearly as many this season as we have in each of the other 3 seasons, do we realistically think we can make 93pts even?

Meaning we can only drop 13pts in in our final 15 games to reach that. Seems a big ask

Don't for get the last 3 games of the 12-13 season

12-13: P3, W2, D1, L0, 7 points

Making overall record to date of

P 172 W99 D 58 L 15 GF 272 GA 117 GD 155 Points 355

All in all a pretty spectacular record since Dirty Leeds beat us at Bellend Road on 16/04/13.

When you consider we’ve only dropped 32 points in the 31 games we’ve played so far this season it’s only a very minor improvement on what we’ve seen so far.

Here's a look at just some of their incredible stats, for better or worse.

Burnley have conceded the fewest goals of any English league side this season (9) - 10 fewer than the next strongest defence (Leeds - 19), and five fewer than any team in the top two tiers in Spain, Italy, France and Germany.

If the Clarets keep up their current goals conceded per game (0.29) ratio, it would be the best in the history of the English Football League.

Burnley have kept 22 clean sheets in 31 games - including their current run of nine in a row.

Goalkeeper James Trafford now holds Burnley's club record for the most clean sheets in a single season (21).

Burnley have not conceded more than once in any league game this season.

There have been fewer goals per game in matches involving Burnley (1.48) than any other side in EFL history. The next lowest was Gillingham in the 1995-96 season (1.50).

Only Liverpool (1) have lost fewer games in England's top four divisions than Burnley (2).
