Season ticket waiting list

Has anyone had any emails about this?

I signed up to the wait list to try and get a season ticket for my son. Emailed the ticket office today to ask what time they go on sale tomorrow and was told people on the waiting list should get an email tonight with instructions.

Haven’t had anything through!

Was there really a waiting list or is it a bit of propaganda from the club? There were seats for sale online right until they stopped sales.

Apparently it’s waiting list people tomorrow and then general sale on the 14th.

Yep, there’s definitely a waiting list. I have some friends who are on it.

There is no doubt a waiting list exists, it's more about whether or not such a list is necessary.

If all season tickets are sold and more people want one how would you have them show their interest without a waiting list

It’s necessary in the sense that if nearly everyone renews and there are limited STs available, those who have signed up for the waiting list get first pick.

That may mean they don’t go on general sale this year, or one year, but more to the point means that those who signed up get first choice of the available seats.

So I can add a season ticket to my basket this morning, but then get the following message:

Unfortunately, the client you have selected does not have the correct attributes to purchase seats on this event. Please check what is required to purchase seats on this event and try again.

(still no mention of a waiting list link)

I imagine it will be from 10am when they go back on sale if today is the day sales start again.

My sister has gone over today.
Only 1 person on the counters and a big queue now starting.

Not another one… Get in quick waiting listers!

It’ll be interesting to see if they go to general sale this year.

The women who was on the counter, was very sharp.
My sister and another lady wanted to pay by Direct Debit, but she said they couldn't set it up today
It really is unbelievable the lack of customer service by some staff.

Got mine online, slight problem at the end a screen saying not all information was loaded. Went start again to find the seat I wanted was no longer available. Checked bank account and payment had come out. Then spent 20 odd minutes on the waiting for confirmation from ticket office, which took less than 2 minutes once I was talking to someone.
So HAPPY DAYS I have my ticket for next season. :D

Even if you ignore the Hospitality sections, there were still quite a lot of seats available.

probably a lot of non-renewals due to the messing around with TV games

Slightly o/t but is it true a % of seats have to be made available for walk-ons or can the ground be all season ticket?

That's the rule in the PL but don't think it applies in the Championship. Think it's 10% that has to be reserved for walk-ons

I don't think that's enough to put off most supporters

That's interesting, so if we become all ST and get promoted, does that mean 10% of our fans will not be able to renew?

Last year there were very few available after renewals/waiting list. A few hundred at most. That may be because we had taken a lot of seats off sale to comply with the 10% rule.

Having renewed my ST I can no longer see the ground map so no idea what is/isn’t available. If it’s true there are a lot available now, it’s in all likelihood because we don’t have to comply with that rule as a Championship club this season - or they’re just allowing any seats to be bought until the magic number with 10% left over is hit.

As for your question, I wonder whether the picket exchange is our way around this? If we can prove more than 10% of tickets are put up for sale each game does it make us compliant? That or maybe we get 10% turnover in ST holders each year and are therefore confident we wouldn’t have an issue.

i think every seat available to sell will be available for new season tickets but once the limit is reached then any seats unsold will be used for matchday sales.

Yeah think you’re probably right.
