Paul Warne sacked by Derby - good timing just four days after the window closed

Inevitable given the poor run of results, but yes the timing is odd!

It's the right size club for Sean D. Think from his playing career and his managerial career so far, Derby will be a good fit for both of them.

I seriously Dyche has the motivation to take a job like that at this stage of his career.

And apparently their fans want him according to my associate a big Derby fan who contributes to their fanzine.

A bit of a sleeping giant Derby - certainly in Championship terms. But we have kept above them for years now. Good management by us. Mel Morris thought he could do it at Derby but found out it was a bottomless pit.

Quite local for Mr Dyche

Exactly the sort of club I thought Dyche would end up at after he left us. A bit of a project, reviving the fortunes of a big club that (in theory) has a decent chance of establishing themselves back in the top flight if he can get them there. Assuming, of course, that he doesn't want to be the modern day Allardyce taking jobs at relegation threatened clubs for 6 months at a time

It'd be hilarious if Eustace left them, he must have given some indication he's interested for there to be an official approach.

SD moved away from Kettering to be nearer Everton. He only waited for his kids to move out of Secondary school.

One of my son's drivers used to deliver to his former home near Kettering and found all sorts of mementos in a skip on the driveway after he moved.

Eustace lives nearer to Derby than Evilwood!
Derby may be local to him but he didn’t enjoy our Local Derby

I know from a reliable that Eustace has been looking to get out for a bit so I can definitely see this happening.

Eustace has had his name attached to quite a few vacancies recently (heavily so for West Brom) which shows he and his agent clearly want out. He’ll take this.

Just had a quick look on the Rovers forum (don't worry, I used incognito mode and made sure the virus checker was up to date), seems many think this going to happen.

Rovers don't need a new manager to bomb Eustace is doing nicely already. The chasing pack is closing in on 6th place .

Pleas let John Eustace go to Derby: that would be hilarious. He’s actually a half decent manager..

Wayne Rooney to Deadwood please

Perhaps Eustace had had a head's up on the Venkey situation in India and wants out because I think someone from his side will have put feelers out in the first place

We know things are bad at Rovers but they must be really bad for their manager to prefer a relegation fight. It's joyful.

Eustace’s post match interview was hardly a ringing endorsement to stay. All he mentioned was how well he players are doing. Nothing about his commitment going forward.

Maybe the time has club for their fans to apologise for their conduct and ask the club to bring Steve Keen back. He is the best manager they have had since Sam.
