We seem desperate if this is the case…. Can’t think of any other clubs at any level allowing someone who is in change of multi million pound deals and contracts to work in media too.

Bizarre

First time Williams has done the interview. I guess there must be some health issues in the media team and they couldn't travel.

It was odd. Can only think the media team couldn’t travel this weekend for some reason.

Matt did a great job. Didn’t start with the “how does that leave you feeling” question :D

Some decent questions as well not just the usual “You must be pleased with the result” and “How do you think the boys played in the win”

Matt Williams used to do media work/journalism before the types of role he’s in now. Perhaps he’s filling in for someone? I doubt we will see him again unless absolutely necessary .

I’ve written to my local MP demanding a public enquiry.

I think SP will have selection problems with everyone getting fit,the best eleven?he alluded to this in the interview.Im thinking about Brown hill,a guaranteed starter 2 weeks ago,but Hannibal has been superb, and with Shelvey getting fit, where does he fit in?

What a Bizarre comment!, suppose it's good to look for something to latch onto to mould into a negative if that's your agenda.

Surprised the clambering hoards that fill this board with bile haven't jumped on it too..........it's been lovely and quiet without them ☺️

Thanks for the reply. Had no idea he did. I just thought he was the man to go to to get deals done and he’s very good at it after the documentary.

He seems better than the kids who usually interview players and staff too. A man of many talents it seems.

What if the person who should have been doing it had been taken ill, had an accident, or something within the family....still tin pot?

If it was the other way around and asking media team to do COO role then I’d maybe understand it being tinpot, but how is the COO doing that “tinpot”?

If anything it shows that those in the “upper hierarchy” are willing to to step in when needed

He’s better than what we had doing it. Was just a bit surprised to hear him do it. Maybe they are making all the higher earners in the boardroom get their hands dirty . I’m all for it if this is the case.

Parker was more relaxed with him as well, probably pleasantly surprised to be having a ‘conversation’ rather than the inane questions he gets from one member of the media team (the one with some irritating pronunciations)

Don't think I've seen him look relaxed in a media interview yet. He's even more awkward than Eddie Howe was. Must be a difficult job for the shy/introverted types.

Brownhill is a starter, regardless.
