As sure as eggs are eggs, thats a fantastic record to hold, 10 clean sheets on the bounce, nobody will ever beat that, its just not Traff its the whole team, even if you only played in one game of it you are part of it, congratulations to Scott Parker & all the backroom staff, no magic Mike included.

Hasn't let more than one goal in any match either. I am sure they said he had now the record for the number of clean sheets in the division but not sure if that's right.

He has to keep it up as Meslier is only two behind him for the golden glove.

The gap in quality between him and Muric today was unimaginable a season ago but many could see the improvement and potential there.

He's getting better by the game and is showing the undoubted talent he has. We don't need to bring up last season anymore, it's been done to death. The fault lies squarely with VK, not James Trafford.

That's a fair point. I am just glad that the hit to his confidence definitely hasn't damaged his potential and progression.

Completely different player to the one 12 months ago.

Everybody, bar one, know it was too much of a step for him then and I’m just pleased that he has used that experience and developEd so much this year.

Sign of a great keeper is not having much to do during the game, but still concentrating and being switched on when needed and in the last few games there have been moments when that part of his game has come into play

Question:

The 15 goal record I think I am correct in thinking belongs to Chelsea over a 38 game season.

Therfore would it be calculated as pro rata meaning we could concede 18 goals to match the record over 46 games?

OR

Concede less than 15 by the 38th game which is Bristol City at home on 29th March?

Or would both be taken into consideration IE 18 goals in a full season?

Good question. I think both are valid. The longer the season, the more likely you'll concede 2, 3 or 4 in a game amd really hammer your stats, so I think matching 15 goals at 38 games is perfectly reasonable

Interestingly the best goals per game ratio isn't Chelsea. It's Liverpool in 78-79. They conceded 16 in 42 games at 0.38 goals per game. We'd need to concede 17 or fewer to better that

Couple of other defensive stats from the entire of English football history to keep an eye on

Most clean sheets: 27 (Wigan 17-18)
Most consecutive clean sheets: 14 (Man U 08-09)

Whilst all these records are absolutely possible, I think the only one we will realistically achieve is the Wigan record. But I hope to be proved wrong

A lot said he should have been taken out of the firing line and given a rest in the Premier League and given some Championship experience ( me included).

He must be really enjoying this season, playing in a team set up try and win games, and play to their strengths, as opposed to being set up to purely reflect one person's ego.

Well he was better than Muric last season. If anything, some fans last year really didn't help him.

If it was a step too far for Traff wtf was it for Muric? Had an awful season at Ipswich - clearly not up to that standard.
