Think Heckingbottom is underplaying the Hannibal incident as a lot of managers would at the prospect of losing a player to a lengthy ban.

******* disgraceful that Heckingbottom thinks its fine to laugh about it, says a lot about him and I'm quite surprised tbh.

Completely. It was an issue that was easily interpreted as serious from up in the gantry. The fact, he claims, he hasn't spoken to him is negligent at best and, if true, shows the nastiness in him. In that sense, a complete c*n*.

With his reaction to the incident Heckinbottom could also find himself in hot water.

Its obviously not seen as a serious incident at PNE and definitely undoes a lot of good work by the FA and football in general.

"He said, she said"

WOW

Horrible little man who belongs at that horrible little club.

If ther wasn't already a huge incentive to knock them out of the cup with a good hiding.

No, he's always been a knob.

You can't have been paying attention.

Shocking response, but did anyone really expect anything else from this mob? Still living in the 1800’s as a club, when this sort of thing was probably seen as acceptable, when Knob End were last successful. Joke club.

Sorry Claretitus but don’t agree with you. I have lived and worked in Preston for the past 47 years and although I will always be a Claret, I have also to defend my now home town club.
I think PNE could undoubtedly have handled this racism incident better, but you can’t just throw joke club living in 1800s at them either.
In a lot of ways, they are similar to us. We have to keep a sense of perspective on this.

A club and personnel is judged by its actions.

I would suggest the club has acted in a very amateurish manner and you can tell that they haven't got the infrastructure and professionalism Burnley have now as a recently medium term Premier League Club.

When we were promoted we had to grow up fast and professionalise our systems and structures and yse the money did help that.

Joke club maybe a bit far but an amateurish club is probably more like it.

On saying that, it wouldn't be a stretch to say their manager is a joke following his comments and he is their main representative.

Really , that’ll be why he was watching from a gantry.

He’s on odd one is Heckingbottom. When he first came into the coaching scene at Barnsley he was seen as a bright young, modern manager.

Now he’s a bit John Beck-lite. Narrow pitches, percentage football and then this.
