Five 0-0 draws in 2025

Took 46 days to get to that point. What’s the record for most 0-0s in a calendar year? Got a hunch we’ll have a bash at breaking that record too.

More than Kompany's team managed.

From that final sentence, do I take it that you really think that the Manager is sending his team out to make as many 0 - 0 draws as possible? :o

He's not, but maybe he's putting too much emphasis on not conceding?

Has as been said 1 win gets as many points points as 3 draws. I win, 1 draw and 1 defeat gets 4 points. So unless playing SU, surely it's worth a flutter on going all out to win every game before SU.

He’s not exactly changing it during games to go and win though is he? like for like subs instead of throwing an extra attacker on. He’s absolutely terrified to try and win a game at risk of losing it.

2 holding midfielders at home against Portsmouth. The guy will never change. Southgate tactics

The home game we won, with Brownhill scoring the winner ?

Southgate got to two finals I'd take two cup finals 👍

Haha yeah we did I meant Preston. And the other 200 we’ve drawn 0-0. Caught me on an early one today 😂

He set out for a 0-0 in at least two of those 5 games, which is frustrating.

Disagree. He set out to not lose the games.

Would anyone really expect us to win the FA cup final if we got there? More than likely against prem opposition.
I'd be happy just with an FA cup final

Rumour has it, that the FA are considering increasing points for a win to 5 a game, after watching Burnley this season.

On another topic. Is anyone truly excited about going up ? It’s the most bizarre season for me. Not looking forward to games, enthusiasm completely gone. Obviously want to get promoted but I was looking at pics from the open top bus parade under kompany a couple of years ago and the euphoria of it all. We will probably have a very polite 5 minutes clap under parker and get off home to draw the curtains

Being compared to the greatest england manager in over a generation ain't exactly an insult

Great squad. He’ll be judged by his next move at club level.

It'll be interesting how we compare with Tuchel in charge.

He's not going to have the same luck in the draws, you can guarantee that.

Very very true. Bar a poor German team in a transition period we got beat against the decent sides.

I wouldn't spend too much time pondering, you can't nil nil your way through the ply offs.
