Remember it vividly - I started going in 97-98 - apart from the Plymouth relegation decider that’s the fullest I’d seen it up to that point
Would that happen today where a player adds 25 to 35 percent to a crowd ?

Think it might be the first time we sold out the new stands for a league game.
We had to go in with the away fans in the Cricketfield Stand.
Didn't somebody miss a sitter of a header? Maybe Alan Lee?

If I remember correctly the 'sitter' from Alan Lee was in the away game v Wigan and quite late on in the game. I recall us driving back in the car barely able to believe that he'd missed it but then on viewing it back on TV thinking that it wasn't quite as bad as we first thought.

A very clever signing. Wrighty lifted the whole atmosphere around the club and his enthusiasm and love of the game was a joy to watch.

He recently said he would be forever grateful to Burnley for signing him
He'd already decided he was retiring at the end of that season and he was just drifting, signing for Burnley allowed him to go out on a high

Wrighty and Mitch Thomas signings gave us the platform to be where we are today

Not Andy Paytons goals that effectively stopped us being relegated the 2 previous seasons and won him the golden boot in this particular season then?
