Penalty taker

With J Rod gone and if neither Barnes nor Brownhill are on the pitch (likely tonight for the bulk of the game), who would be out penalty taker (should we be fortunate enough to get a ref's decision)?
I'd guess Flemming is the most likely - I believe he took a couple for Millwall before he left them & nobody else is an obvious choice.

We’ve had some great penalty takers over the years. Think I can count on one hand the number we’ve missed over the past 15 years at least.

That’s the one that occurred to me. But thinking about it, none others spring to mind, though we didn’t exactly win a lot of pens when we were in the prem.

We’ve missed 5 penalties in the last 13 years.
That does help when we went such long periods without getting one.

What exactly is a Burnley penalty awarded for, becausecwe don'tget them gor triple hanballs, fouls trips etc.? I'm sure I remember us getting one once though.
In answer to the question I'd have thought Cullen in the absence of others.

Pretty much what I was going to say.
We'd better start practicing for the play-offs though.

Oh yes, how many games was it that we went without a pen?

Not Foster or Anthony for sure. I'd trust CJ.

People used to say we never got them under SD because we never created enough chances.
Didn't get many when VK was in charge though either.

I did wonder on Saturday at PNE when we had that huge penalty shout, who would have taken it looking at who was on the field.

Imagine the scenario:
It's 0-0 deep into added on time at the end of the 2nd half, we win a penalty and...
...we take the ball to the corner flag to see out the game.

For being a generally calm chap I’m still absolutely seething about the Reading penalty spot scuffing!!

Yes, it was poor form from him. Such childish behaviour.
I do find the whole ‘protecting’ the penalty spot with a teammate stood holding the ball these days a bit strange too.

Jays at forest was the funniest/worst I've ever seen . Forest were having such a bad season , that there fans were singing " let's pretend that we have scored " and " you're **** if you can't beat us " .

Recall Jay Rod slipping at Forest and scooping the spot kick over the bar. He did make up for it not longer after with his 2nd goal, possibly 2012.

Going back even further Peter Noble had a great penalty record but the worst was Paul Futchers at Stockport, pulled a Hamy before hed even got to the ball!

The Grezza miss keeper was somewhat irrelevant as it almost went down the old tunnel at the Cricket Field End didn't it?
