Their nightmare scenario is that they need to beat Sheff Utd to get in the play offs and if that happens we get promoted.

I keep expecting Bastards to drop out of the playoff places, but those below them are absolute bobbins and can’t string a run of wins together.

Actually, if we do end up in the playoffs, I've no doubt we will come through it and win.
Really can't see anyone to touch us, including Venkys.

Yes it's a funny predicament, because we all already know, no matter what, that Sheff United will comfortably beat them. However if a Blades victory results in us finishing 3rd they will sell at as they some how had a say in the outcome.
Lets hope it doesn't come to that, because I am pretty confident they won't be in the hunt shortly.

Sorry to quote myself..... but if we had to settle for the playoffs I would have no problem meeting and thrashing them at Wembley. In every single metric we are miles ahead of them.

I said earlier in the season we have a terrible record against the NE clubs. I wouldn’t want us even playing Boro, who we also didn’t beat this season.

I fear you've called that totally wrong. My suspicion is that we'll need Sheff Utd to drop at least a point for us to have a chance of 2nd place, and Rovers (who will have nothing significant to play for) will simply roll over to ensure that we don't go up automatically.

Rovers will be nowhere near a play off spot come the end of the season. And as for them rolling over for the Blades, it will be academic as our own results will see us clear.

I've seen the rovers fan on bookface today and he said he would gladly sacrifice a a playoff spot if it meant us missing out on automatic promotion.

Ease up VC... we literally went up to Sunlan decimated after that terrible two weeks, where the whole squad left.
Yeah had it not been for JT being on form they'd have won from the spot. That's it.
I watched them today get beat by Hull. They aren't that good a side.
I also watched a very impressive Edwards make his home debut and the return of the magic boots Benson. If we don't go up automatically, I am not scared of Sunderland or anyone else for that matter.

That’s genuinely as funny as it is desperate from them. I take it they didn’t have good ownership either, from like the 1890s until Jack Walker, or they’d have dominated English football?
If it wasn’t for the Venky’s generosity they’d be battling for bragging rights with Rochdale and Oldham instead of getting owned by us every couple of years.

History…. Play in Darwen because everyone in Blackburn hated the Public schoolboy team and supported the workers team Olympic. Started the league by poaching the entire Darwen squad with high wages, thus preventing Darwen ever being a league team. Had Burnley, Accrington and PNE banned from the FA Cup for having pro’s even though they hid theirs in false jobs at India mill…. And that’s all before 1889… what a proud history, what a worthy club.

I am currently unwell in Royal Blackburn Hospital and other than thoroughly enjoying Friday night's second half it's fair to say I've been quite down in the dumps.
Now it really feels quite cheeky, watching Burnley win in Blackburn twice in one season, but to see the highlights of the Swansea away game yesterday was terrific whilst being accommodated here.
Anyway, I thought I'd take a look at brfcs to cheer me up a little more last night as some of the elders of the ward prefer to sleep all day and shout all night, and I can only thank the inhabitants of brfcs from the very bottom of my heart.
I was absolutely rolling round in stitches laughing at the stuff on there. Still so entitled, still got such an enormous inferiority complex, and still think they are going to play a part in the end of season shake up.
Well they aren't, and we already know they are going to get spanked off the Blades.
The NHS as normal have been absolutely fantastic just to say.

A lad at work is Rovers fan. Nice lad but when it comes to football he’s a tad damp around the ear region.
He was telling me on Wednesday about how confident he was of getting in the play offs and Gary O’Neill would be the next manager, I didn’t say out and left him in dreamland.

You can argue that Jack Walker was a bad owner given that he ran the club beyond its means for so long with no plan for what might happen when the money ran out after he had gone.
Surely he had an idea that the family couldn’t be arsed with it and would sell to the highest bidder?

In 1985/6 season....playing in what's now the Championship, and not that long before the coming of Walker, Blackburn, with a reasonably successful team had an average attendance of not much over 5k.
That's how big a club they were before Walker bought them 20,000 prem-only supporters.

In no way a defence of that lot, but the mid eighties were a time of abject attendances throughout English football.
That season only ten first division clubs had averages above 20k.

But yet they're constantly banging on about us getting 2k whilst rock bottom of the 4th division for a while. When I remind them theirs were shi-te (5k in the old 2nd division and at the same time they were a decent side) they unsurprisingly don't want to know.

The point I was making is everyone’s attendance levels in the mid 80’s were rubbish. The chart I shared was just the first division. Look at Arsenal and Spurs. Villa packing them in at 15k! And the second division was even worse!
Getting into a knob measuring argument over mid-80’s average attendances is one of the most pointless things ever.

48k per month to manage them?? Crikey, I am an FA Qualified coach, all the courses up to date, I might put in for it and say I will do it for 30k a month.
I would gladly continue the excellent work of Coyle, Kean and odd job Michael Appleton.

Just been browsing BRFCS forum at their new manager thread and they really are desperate, no matter what name gets thrown out there it's a negative response they really think a top manager should be jumping at the chance to manage them.
There is also a clear obsession with Dyche on that thread through either people saying to get him to people just using anything to have a dig at Dyche, what he did for us against them has cut through their veins I love it. As if after leaving Everton if they offered him the job on 12k a week he'd go haha I doubt he'd go for 50k a week to be honest

My ideal scenario for the last match of the season is that we need a point for automatic promotion and Millwall need a point to pip Blackburn for the last play off spot.
0-0 anyone??
